Bowman is definitely a camp invite kind of dude. Teams can have up to 20 in camp. He's a fringe guy.
Plus, why would I want to go to the NBA? Duke players suck in the pros.

I know that we are focused on the rosters and etc what the clippers do and etc. I want to take the focus off it for a moment and say that I hope that you all have a wonderful and great holidays. Don't eat alot of Turkey now hahaha or just drink a nice and cold Coke

In all seriousness, is Jose Calderon retired? I always liked his point guard skills. Maybe invite him to camp?

Great assists-to-turnover ratio [6-to-1 career] and the Sixers PG situation is even more dire than the Clippers'. Can hit the 3 a bit too [41%].

Calderon is a defensive sieve at 39 years old, the team won't be able to stomach leaving him on the floor enough defensively for him to be useful.

He's also a good passer, but not a real playmaker, and that's exacerbated at 39 when he can't really break down the defense even as much as he could in the past.

That would be true desperation, not at that point, lol

Yeah, that is not fun. If we didn't pay Morris that big of contract, do you think we wouldn't be hard cap? Also, exactly what does it mean actually to be hard cap?

Am I the only one who doesn’t mind the Patterson signing? He gave solid minutes in the regular season. I thought he could have provided something against Denver in the playoffs too.

Anyway, we’ll be playing 2 weeks from tonight. Crazy.

You cannot go over a certain fixed amount, said amount varies from season to season.

You know, it's never been made clear what would happen if a franchise did go over the hard cap. Would the team be sanctioned, lose draft picks, forfeit games, be forced into a trade?

Here's my thinking: maybe Clippers want to go over the hard cap on purpose. If I recall, there's never been a record of a team doing it, the only reason being to maybe exploit a loophole.

The trade/signing would be invalidated. All require league approval before they are official.
Plus, why would I want to go to the NBA? Duke players suck in the pros.

Is it the same anyways for league approval without being over the cap? I mean all signings and trades automatically require league approval.

Yes, this is the case especially in trades. A trade call needs to be completed with the league office in order to go over the details and cap work, trade kickers, ect before they are approved.
