Re: Around the NBA
Thoughts on Rudy Gay?
he's too expensive imo.
but would you guys consider him at SF?
seems like u wouldn't want to ruin the chemistry this team has....but it seems like he is available.

I've played with the trade checker/machine at times on possible Gay trades, but he's just paid far too much money. $16.5M, $17.9M and $19.3 from now until the end of his deal. Him, Blake, DJ and Paul would be making around $65M combined next season and that number would only elevate even higher in the final year of his contract. He'll be getting paid more than Durant through 2015. It just doesn't make much sense given his limitations and shortcomings.

Even though Memphis is putting out feelers for both Gay and Z-Bo, I'd only expect them to trade one or the other. For the past few years, they've done well with one, but not as well with both. They probably figure that they can still be good by keeping one, trading the other and alleviating some cap space.

Ricky Rubio has played nearly 176 minutes over nine games since returning from an ACL injury.
Rubio has made just six field goals during those nine games. Rubio is 6-for-33 (18.2 percent shooting).
what a friggin stud

LeBron becomes the youngest player to score 20,000 points at 28 years and 17 days. He also passed the 5,000 assist mark tonight to become one of only 12 players to surpass plateaus of 20K points, 5k rebounds and 5k assists.

He'll have another opportunity to take it to one of our division foes tomorrow

New Orleans declined their team option on him for next season. He'll be a free-agent this summer. I don't know if the FO would have any interest in bringing him back, but someone will take a chance on him.
