Would really like some progress on something today. Do we have enough people with Scrubb out for a legit full camp?

We don't really have a camp this year--5 days of "group practice" and then preseason games start.

voluntary individual workouts (Nov. 24-30), required individual workouts (Dec. 1-5), group practices (Dec. 6-10), exhibition play (Dec. 11-21) and the start of the regular season (Dec. 22).

i think the signing is fine, btw. he's awful on defense and not a guy who can steer the offense, but he can get hot in a pinch and he's better than nothing.

i'm skeptical on how he will play a prominent role off the bench (unless lou is moved before the season's start), but i will give lue the benefit of the doubt in how he'll utilize him. i mean anything will be better than how doc did things, really.

Damn, woulda preferred Lin, more playmaking for the bench and PG size, but RJax on the vet min is still a great deal. Honestly at this point, the team needs to trade Lou Will, he's too small and provides no defensive resistance. The team has enough offense, would prefer swapping Lou Will for long young wing with some 3D potential.

The Jackson deal isn’t the worse but the bench needs to look a bit different for it to work

people forget how groovy everything was in Ballmerville until the COVID hit. March 3:

https://theathletic.com/1650257/2020/03/03/how-reggie-jackson-has-helped-unlock-the-best-version-of-lou-williams/

Jackson joined the Clippers with modest expectations and got off to a pedestrian start, but he has rebounded since then to shatter even the most optimistic forecasts surrounding his arrival. He has become one of the Clippers’ most impactful players, as they ride a four-game win streak and seek some stability with their health and rotation.

Through five games with the Clippers, Jackson is averaging 9.6 points, 3.8 rebounds, 4.2 assists, 0.4 steals, 0.6 blocks and 1.2 turnovers in 19.8 minutes. His percentages are at career-high levels: 53.1 percent from the floor, 44.4 percent on 3s and 100 percent at the free-throw line. His true shooting percentage (69.3) eclipses his best mark by a mile (54.7 percent in 2018-19).

Paul George, one of Jackson’s best friends and part of the reason he was open to joining the Clippers in a reduced role, has noted Jackson is detail-oriented and studies film religiously. Jackson has picked George’s brain on the Clippers’ offensive sets and defensive system. The result has been Jackson acclimating to the Clippers’ offense sooner than expected.

    ...

Jackson and Williams, in particular, have developed a chemistry that has unlocked the best version of Williams. In the 69 minutes they’ve played together, Jackson and Williams have posted a plus-34.2 net rating — the second-best mark among the 23 Clippers pairings that have logged 50-plus minutes since Jackson’s debut (the best pairing has been Shamet and Green at a plus-41.5 net rating in 69 minutes).

    ...

Jackson’s presence as a lead ballhandler has freed up Williams to come off of screens, spot up and attack rotating and scrambling defenders. It has reduced his workload and enabled him to thrive. In five games alongside Jackson, Williams is averaging 15.8 points and 5.4 assists in just 25.0 minutes. Most impressive, he’s shooting 50.7 percent from the floor and 57.1 percent on 3s.

Jackson isn’t an elite passer or ballhandler, by any means, but he’s just good enough — and possesses a more diverse passing arsenal than Williams — to make Williams’ move to shooting guard and co-ballhandler logical.

I'm a Lou Williams trade away from being very, very happy with that rotation.

I guess Ky Bowman is no longer signing then? He was all excited to be joining the team and then nothing.

Who’s this guy?

Very good point--Ky Bowman's signing has not been officially announced [yet?].

Rayjon Tucker would be a camp body. He actually got some NBA minutes last year with Cleveland so he's not a total joke. Agua Caliente.

Bowman is signed too. To what, we don't know... :P
