Simmons was solid in limited minutes and Batum also great at what he does. I’ll take Dunn’s defense over whatever we gave to get him. JVG is pure gold on our bench.

Harden & Norm were off but still came up big when needed.
Zu is awesome.
Kawhi ridiculous

I don’t think people realize how bad flopping impacts the game. It really changes the way a team has to guard the offending player and the fouls add up in the players minds. This first game we lost our momentum due to it in the second quarter and then again late in the game. The refs are rewarding this man for it. These games would have been great but it has become painful to watch knowing what’s coming from him. Kawhi was sensational tonight. The team stepped up in the end.

It’s ridiculous when you know he does this with jumpers.

Against GS in the last regular season game, GS ran Butler on Kawhi and had Green providing help. Kawhi rose up on them and scored.

Today, Nuggets many times had Murray, Jokic and Gordon trying to crowd Kawhi. Kawhi just rose up and made shots.

If teams with multiple defenders aren't stopping him, then I feel bad for any team that tries to defend him one on one.

Very true! 100%! I'm surprised the refs didn't fall for Jokic's flop late in the 4th (after Harden brought the ball upcourt). It was a miracle, and thank God.

TVD after Game 1:

esqtvd wrote:Disappointing but there was a predictable lack of familiarity that led to the key stat:

    Total Turnovers 20-11
    Points Conceded Off Turnovers 29-9

This is very fixable. The Clips have not played at full strength and full intensity all year. As long as we got through this healthy, it's as close to a win as you can get.

TVD after Game 2:

Total Turnovers 20-11
Points Conceded Off Turnovers 21-12

They fixed it.

all those double-teams. We were quick and hustling to rotate and cover. We threw 2 sometimes 3 man to Jokic, dude still got a triple double. But that's the way Nuggets are build. We gotta slow down Jokic and press everyone else. it worked on Murray and Porter jr., Braun couldn't even dribble the ball

Same here. This game was stressful enough the animals at my house were looking at me like I was a maniac

Don’t worry, Doc has gone to blow 3-1 leads elsewhere

If we do go up 3-1, Ty just has to give Doc a call for some sage advice and then do the exact opposite.

Yes, yes, YES!! Kawhi with one for the ages. Magnificent! Is Norm back? If so we might can go on a roll! Lets Go! First game at Intuit coming up on Thursday and now we'll see the true power of Ballmer's vision with our new arena! We're going to blow the roof off that b*tch!

I have to say, I had sub-average talent but I played the game like that. Joker doesn't play dirty [except flopping like an armdillo]. He's out there with fangs bared, ready to take down any MFer who gets in his way. If you're his teammate, how can you not follow that man into hell? He's from Serbia. It has BEEN hell.

Every "game" is about heart. I was saying the 49 Million Dollar Man had to OWN it. He knew it, we all knew it.

And he did. We always quibble about the role players, but this has been Kawhi's team from DAY ONE. Ballmer gave away 10 years of the Clippers' future to get him. This is Kawhi's test more than Joker's.

Kawhi vs Joker. May the best man win.

We all witnessed one of greatest individual performances by a Clipper of all time. I know its the first round but hey we are the Clippers and we gotta enjoy some of these as the come.

Hopefully we figured some stuff out with Powell late. He cant hunt fouls. He just has to get down hill and make baskets. Bogi didnt show any life for 2 games in a row. Not sure he has anything. Maybe we give those minutes to someone else.

There’s also a difference between grifting/foul hunting and outright flopping. Harden used to grift a lot. He also put a signature on the sweep shot which they changed the rules for. He’s tamer now, I guess the best example of those is Brunson who also employs a lot of offensive charge type shots to his game. Jokic is an outright flopper, interested to see how their fans call out Embiid now. Iam done on the subject, I really hope they ignore his flops at Intuit.

Sorry, go back and watch the 4th. Bogi was much better alongside Kawhi. He was much more aggressive defensively than Harden had been and he didn't force things. Had the big steal and dish to DJJ.

I'm very excited to see how Intuit shows up. We had some raucous playoff crowds at Staples over the years, and that was without the Wall or an arena built to maximize the crowd noise. It would be awesome to build an intimidating playoff atmosphere like the Warriors used to have at Oracle.

At least prime Harden used to stop getting his BS calls in the playoffs. Jokic and Brunson are getting preseason officiating in the postseason. Brunson in particular might be the worst flopper ever. Completely unwatchable, tries to draw a BS foul on every single possession (offense and defense) and gets them far beyond what is reasonable. He makes CP3 look like he never flopped in his life.
