Sources close to the Clippers say that Minnesota offered the #16 pick and Corey Brewer to the Clippers in exchange for the #8 pick

16 and brewer for 8? I'd take that. Brewer is coming along very nicely. Very nice defender, smart player, works hard and developed a nice outside shot last year. We could use him... thoughts? Would that Babbitt dude or Hayward be available at 16? Dont like either of them, but this sounds nice.

I'd pass on Brewer.

Why exactly? With Maggette, Thornton and possibly even Gay we've had our share of shoot first, defend later SF's. Brewer is the exact opposite. Anybody who has seen him play last season knows he'd be a great addition to our team.

I'd pass. Not a fan of Brewer.

I'd pass too. Brewer is not worth moving out of the lottery.

I'd pass too because Brewer's contract will be up soon. Don't know exactly when. I'd do Flynn and #16 though.

I'd rather sit at 8 and take Aminu. If he is off the board, then this trade becomes very appealing.

Brewer also had a nasty knee injury. No thanks.

Yeah, Brewer's not worth 8 draft spots downward. His injury problems don't help either.

Yeah, we shouldn't do anything until we know who's available at #8.
By then maybe some different players and trades will be offered by other teams.

As for Brewer, i'm not a fan cause he can't shoot and that's something we need at sf spot, with Kaman and Griffin down low and another guy shooting bricks at the pg spot.

Though, if Aminu's gone at #8 and they'd offer Brewer, #16 + #23 for #8 then i'd think about it.

Post All Star Brewer shot 1.5 3pts against a 34% clip. January anf February had him shooting 1.7 against a 40% clip over 28 games.

Can Brewer knock down shots from range with a consistent basis? If not, I'd pass on this deal, but if so, I'd really consider this because someone like James Anderson could be available at #16 and retaining Butler will give the Clippers four decent wing options if a major move isn't made. Gordon/Brewer starting with Anderson/Butler off the bench.
