Tracy McBaby

Look, I am not a fan of Mcbaby's yet I realize the Clips are very weak @ the 3. Butler can't play and start a full season; freshly drafted Urkel is not ready. Since no one else wants Tracy, can 't we offer 1 year at 3 mill +++ incentives (2nd year club option)
or..... Is the anyone we should go after for the 3 spot??

the only worry is that he'd want the ball too much. Also, he is so broken down I'm not sure he has much basketball left in him

3 million for one year is a drop in the bucket; Brian Cook will give us less production than whatever McBaby will give us. If McBaby really thinks he has something left, then he will be playing for a contract.
I would rather take a chance on a broken down, former egomaniac All-Star than some of the SCRUBS (no names mentioned, so I don't hurt feelings) on the Clippers roster. If we don't expect much from McBaby how do we react if he has a stellar year?

I wouldn't mind signing him, but after the Butler and Blakely signings, as well as the announcement that we are looking for another big, I don't think we'll sign him. He claims he's miles ahead of the player he was with the Knicks, but I just don't see him going back to a big minute player. And we all know he still thinks he's a big minute player.
And since he would be playing for a contract, that might or might not be a good thing. If he really has improved, that would be great for the team, but if he's really that broken down, it could really mess the team up. I guess that's what a lot of teams are thinking right now, and don't want to risk signing someone who will disrupt the team with on and possibly off court issues.

we dont need him taking minutes from EJ. i dont believe he will add to the team anything even as a bench player.

RT @DraftExpress: Tracy McGrady has been signed by the Detroit Pistons to a one year minimum contract, a source close to the situation tells DraftExpress.
Looks like the whole McGrady speculation has been put to a close. I think it's safe to say that other than adding one more big man, we won't be having any more roster changes anytime soon.

There is a reason no one wants him.
It's not a coincidence that he worked out for two teams who were looking forward to adding him to the roster and after working out both teams decided to pass. Must be something wrong. I would let that ship sale at this point.

I find it interesting that McGrady signed with Detroit. They have a lot of 2s and 3s and just signed another one.

I would have liked to have had McGrady on the roster prior to re-signing Butler. Now, I'm more interested in us acquiring another big.

If Mcgrady is half the player he was and turns out to be a good signing, would you consider a Mcgrady and Prince for Kaman trade?
