Clippers assistant coach Marc Iavaroni has been around the NBA for quite some time, but he's still come away impressed with the work ethic of forward Blake Griffin.

"He's one of the hardest working guys I've ever been around," Iavaroni told ESPN.com's Chris Palmer.

"He's extremely driven and you can see why he was the No. 1 pick for a reason and it's not just superior talent but because of his work ethic."

Griffin has been in the gym every day in the month of August.

Very good to hear since there hasn't been much news on Blake in awhile.

i remember hearing his college coach talk about him working to hard. thats what i worry about with blake. i wanna see this guy succeed in the NBA it was just a joy to watch him in college and he seems like a well rounded person. its hard not to like a guy like him hes one of those athletes that you just root for. ill be watching alot of clippers games this year thats for sure.

Yeh totally agree, although what Iavaroni has said, lets hope his work ethic rubs off on our other guys, especially Baron, maybe he'll feel as if thats something to play for. I just hope Blake gets through and has a solid season for us next season.

I would expect all youngsters coming into the league to have the drive to get better. Baron is older, I don't see any chance Blake's work ethic rubs off on him. Lets just hope we get off to a good start. Then I can see the team really growing in confidence.

Baron just needs that ethic to help him stay in shape
