Weren't we looking at another big? (Center)

I thought we were going to go after another center, or is that wrong? i seem to remember hearing something like that.

Or is Cook classified as a Center? i didn't think so.

I think we, the fans, want another big guy. But I don't know if the FO mentioned anything about it. Although it's just stupid as hell to go into the season with only 2 legit centers.

Guys like Rhino and I guess Cook can play very limited minutes depending on the matchup, but you sure as hell don't want to rely on them constantly.

I was thinking the same thing, we need another big man. I really think we need a 4/5 big guy, some one like Josh Boone. At this point we only have the undersized Craig Smith to bacup Griff. If Kamen were to go down for a few games, and DJ started, who'll back him up? I really don't want to call a guy who's a weak rebounder and shoots 3's a PF (Brian Cook), but since he's on the team, I hope he finds a niche. I see Boone as a "Noah-lite" type of player, and he's still a young guy who'll not mind if he doesn't get minutes. There are some other big guys out there as well.

We definitely need a third center, especially since Kaman is injury-prone, and DJ is still fairly inexperienced. I would actually go after Dampier to get another solid veteran on the team.

We were supposed to be looking for another big. Training camp is about a week away, so there's a chance that a few are invited to camp. I don't really think that we're an option for Dampier. Sure, we could offer him more money than many teams, but he has contenders and playoff teams that want him. I really don't think that we're going to bring in somebody that's going to steal many minutes from DJ, but I'm OK with that. I just want a legit big as insurance.

Yeh thats true, if Kaman goes down with a serious injury, or even for a few games. DJ will get a load of minutes, and we won't have anyone cept for Cook to back him up..... no thanks lol

Last I heard we were supposed to be looking for a big man at some big man camp in Vegas or something, but that was well over a month ago. Going after Dampier would be wise IMO if we are serious about making a playoff push. We need more insurance up front than just Deandre.

My guess is now we are just gonna invite free agents to training camp
I've been an LA Clipper fan since 1998 and that will never change. I hate our new logo and jerseys!

Not too many guys left. The Cavs were looking at Chris Hunter, Earl Barron & Kyrylo Fesenko the other day. Hunter and Barron were in for a workout with them. I'd love to hear that we had a couple guys in for a workout.

Please no Paul Davis.

Why haven't we shown any interest in Dampier? He's a perfect fit.
