The Clippers finally return to Los Angeles where they will make their preseason home debut at Staples. The game is televised and will air on Fox Sports Prime Ticket at 7:30pm, re-air at 11pm, and will be called by none other than our very own, Ralph and Mike. It's been so very long.


One of the biggest stories in the NBA for the past month and half has been a complete melodrama. Will Carmelo stay next summer? Will he be traded? Will he extend? The Clippers were allegedly once on Melo's list of "acceptable" teams, but obviously there was no agreement between the Nuggets and the Clippers in terms of adequate compensation. The Nuggets will have ample opportunity to get a look at the Clipper roster this weekend as the 2 faceoff on Thursday, as well as both being a part of the Staples Center Shootout. The Clippers and Nuggets could very well meet each other twice. Will the Clippers attempt to showcase any of their young prospects?

Baron speaks on new Clipper coaching staff & former coach, John Lucas

Davis had a particularly close bond with assistant coach John Lucas last season and said they have kept in touch after Lucas was not retained by the Clippers.

"He's still there, motivating me from a distance," Davis said. "He's a person that I call and confide in when I need some motivation. He's always there.

"At this point, I'm loving the staff we have right now and the coaches we have. Lucas is always going to be with me. You can hear his voice through text messages."

Davis laughed and added: "Texting in all capitals."

Today marks what would have been the 100th birthday of Basketball Icon, John Wooden. We thank him for what he has contributed inside and outside of the gym. Although he is missed, his legend lives on.

Too bad DJ can't play tonight, he could use the minutes. And we'll miss his high flying dunks

Griffin with the left-handed tip jam off of the Gomes miss. He has 6 points & 2 blocks so far.

Nice and 1 by Gordon. He has 8. Game tied at 20 with 4:06 left in the 1st. Foye in for Davis.

It's been a good quarter so far, but that whistle is going off a bit too much.

Suprised by Blake's FTs. Form looks good so far today, nothing but net.

Not sure why he is a poor FT shooter, arc looks nice, follow through, compact motion.

32 all through 1. 28 of our points have come from the hands of Gordon (8), Kaman (10) and Griffin (10). Griffin also put up 4 boards, 2 rejections and a dime. Clipper bigs (BG, CK and Collins) all have 2 fouls. Nene & Melo have 2 apiece and Balkman has 3.

AFA sees some action to start the 2nd. Butler for 3.

Just turned the game on TV. I had to go some where and was listening to the game on the radio. Looks like currently we have a slim lead.

Looking at the new court and it seems a lil strange, lol

It's kind of funny. Coach K had to convince EJ to shoot whenever he had the shot. Cook needs no convincing whatsoever.
