Season record predictions

With the preseason schedule over, it is time to make some regular season record predictions. My best guess for the season record is 35-47. I expect some improvement over last year with the addition of Griffin and continued improvement of Gordon but there are a lot of new faces on the team and some didn't play that well in the preseason.

38 wins. obviously we wont make the playoffs with that record.
We should finish with 12th seed over Minnesota, GSW, Hornets, Kings. But if we do better than denver, phoenix, memphis or rockets I wouldn't be too surprised.

44-38 making the 8th playoff spot
Western Conference
1. Lakers
2. Jazz
3. Thunder
4. Spurs
5. Mavericks
6. Grizzlies
7. Rockets
8. Clippers
IMO we are better than the Suns, Hornets, and Nuggets

I'll say no playoffs, but a 43 - 39 record.
Griffin and Aminu in the rookie all-atar game
Griff averages a double-double
Kaman in the all-star game.
Gordon averages 19.5
Baron averages 8.7 apg
Butler gets traded.

I'm going to stick with 38 wins.
I fully believe the team can (and should) do better than that, but there's a lot of growth that needs to take place for that to happen. Our starters have looked great and all look like they will have very promising seasons. The team as a whole will need to learn how to close out games. Close games are really what make the difference throughout the season. We lost 10-12 games last year that we shouldn't have, and I'm hoping that isn't the case this year. If we play to our potential, we'll turn some heads.
I'm not certain on what Vinny's rotations are going to look like. We didn't really have the benefit of seeing that play out in preseason. I just hope that he uses better judgment when players get into early foul trouble. We saw players pick up 3 in the 1st quarter. If that happens in the regular season...

I think that Kaman can very well be an all-star again. He was ridiculous in preseason. He was able to put the ball on the floor without it bouncing off of his foot and his jumper was so wet. Griffin may have a case for himself if the team does well enough and he puts up big enough numbers. It's going to be in Los Angeles and the competition just isn't what it was for a front court player.
Baron has a lot of options to dish the ball to. There were times in preseason that he took minimal shots and focused on distributing. In one game his shot wasn't falling, so he started taking it to the rack. He's got to use that type of judgment in the regular season. He's not a bad 3 point shooter, he just has had really bad judgment.
Gordon is going to be more assertive on the offensive end. I would love to see him expand in terms of a midrange game, but we'll have to wait and see on that. He needs to get his foul shooting back up to at least the mid 80's. If he does that and continues to do what he does well, then all is good.

I'll predict 45 wins. The team is going to feast on bad teams in the west like GS, Sac, Minny and do the same vs Bad East teams. Also, the teM will do much better at home because fans will come out and support an exciting team this year.
Last year, we lost to teams we shouldn't have because the team lacked fire and intensity. Blake Griffin and a new coaching staff will easily add 10 more wins than last year.
Don't know if 45 wins is enough for playoffs though.

If Vinny Del Negro's past has taught us anything, it's that we're going to be a 41 - 41 record team this year.

40 wins, miss playoffs. West is significantly weaker this year, alot of the older teams look really vulnerable now, especially the suns and the spurs.

Best Case: 42-40, winning season
Worst Case: 22-60, possibly Vinny Del Negro firing while trading away Baron Davis & Chris Kaman.

36-46
We still seem to lose to many close games and I think we'll trade Baron some time during the season, if he doesn't starts off well.

I'll go with 35-47.
They'll start out nice, but start to flatten once the elite Western Conference teams get into top gear. That road trip that they have (11 games I think?) will derail them mentally as well as physically as well.

I say 42 wins. No playoffs, but a solid improvement over last season.

I'm always wrong on this and take an optimistic approach, so this year I'll be conservative. I'll go with 35 wins. I personally think this team can be really good and will surprise people, the team just hasn't jelled yet. Once the whole team is on the same page I think it will be hard for other teams to stop us.

46+ wins. Sniff the playoffs. Griffin wins ROY award. Gordon and Baron both put up efficient #'s thanks in part to our new frontcourt tandem. I'll be satisfied with this outcome so that we can have something positive to build on for many seasons to come.

The Clips are going to be exciting to watch with Blake Griffin. Otherwise, they haven't added wins at any other position and are below average at SG, SF, and arguably C. The teams that have added Camby, Gooden, and Steve Blake have improved themselves. There's nobody here who can make the big shots and mental plays that win games down the stretch. Awful bench. Any starter injury and this team will be bad. Could easily go 2-8 to start the season.
Love all the enthusiastic predictions here. Go Clips! Here's mine.
29-53

Not sure about all this talk about no player to take the big shots. Baron has hit plenty big shots throughout his career (go take a look on youtube) and we have plenty shooters for a kickout (Butler last year). Also how many teams do have a legit closer?
Main problem to me is still the bench. I am actually more worried about backup PG/SG than big men now. We will probably struggle to score with the second unit.
36 wins is my prediction.
