Hi guys,
I am a 76ers fan by upbringing but have followed the Clippers for about 10 years and was wondering what fans who see DeAndre Jordan play on a regular basis (TV or live) think of his progress.
I noticed that even with Kaman out he is not getting a ton of minutes, even when he is not in foul trouble. What gives? Is he a gem in the rough or a player that really is only 2nd round talent at best?
Thanks.

Re: D. Jordan progress
That's a difficult question to answer. He is still fairly raw after being in the league for three years, but there is still a tremendous amount potential in him, especially now since true centers are the hardest position to fill. Despite free throw percentages, his stroke looks better and it does seem like he's making them on a much more consistent basis, but I think that's what is really killing his time out on the floor, as well he can't seem to stay out of foul trouble and still makes really silly mistakes: i.e. bobbles passes and is often flagged for three second violations. Also, when the team is need of a few baskets, the only thing he can do is slam the ball.
Which isn't to say that his athleticism and size doesn't intimidate players, he rebounds really well, blocks shots like no other, and is always there for an easy put back.
Whether the organization wants to stick with Kaman for years to come or not, I do believe Jordan is here to stay whether it be as a starter in another few seasons or as a permanent back up.
