First of all, does anyone have any ETA's for Kaman, Rhino, and Cook?

From watching a lot of games this year, I REALLY like the Clippers current starters of Griffin, BD, EJ, and DJ. I think they can more than hold their own against most starters in the league. I do, however, see a significant gap on the bench. It would be a huge luxury to be able to have Kaman/Smith coming off the bench. I think that Kaman would actually get more production (points/rebounds) and more efficient production in a line up where he was the main guy.

Any thoughts?

I totally agree w/ you, the 1st stringers are playing well (DeAndre & his leaping) and why change an fast paced entertaining team? Having Bledsoe & Kaman together may actually CRUSH 2nd units in the NBA

their ETA is 10-15days from what I hear.

since most of our production comes from Griffin&Gordon, Kaman is not needed to be on the floor with them as long as Gomes, Aminu or Baron help on scoring.
Our problem has always been bench scoring and Cook is the only one putting up decent numbers. I think bringing kaman off the bench wouldn't be a bad idea.
He can definitly outplay any 2nd unit center in the league and could be the first option when griffin or gordon are not on the floor.

I'd be ok with it. The ball movement tends to die down when comes in as it becomes alot of kaman iso post ups. That was ok previous years, but this year he hasn't been shooting very well. He should come off the bench for sure just to give him a chance to fix his shooting, and the 2nd unit can run their offense through him.

Plus our current starting roster has finally built some good chemistry.

My first reaction was, yes you are crazy.

But the more I think about, the more I like the idea. We have two big time scorers in the starting lineup with Gordon and Griffin, and given that our bench is pretty weak in scoring, it would make more sense to let Kaman dominate the ball with the second unit.

With Gordon and Griffin, it's more of a faster paced game. Like Recently has mentioned, things slow down when Kaman gets the ball, which can potentially disrupt any momentum we build. But I don't think he'll disrupt much in the second unit. And he's talented enough that he can still be effective without Davis setting him up. I also think this will help our overall rebounding, since Griffin and Kaman would cut into each others rebounding numbers if they played together.

Hopefully Vinny will realize these points, and play him off the bench, at least when he returns. See how that works. If it doesn't, then we can adjust and put him into the starting lineup.

I would prefer to see him come off of the bench. The need for bench scoring is huge. We only have a couple players that we can consistently rely on. With Kaman coming off of the bench, he can be the primary option that he has been used to being and he wouldn't be disrupting the chemistry that our starters have. If Foye would ever get and stay healthy, then we'd have quite a few offensive punches off of the bench (i.e. Kaman, Smith, Foye).
