This is probably just be wishing but do you guys think theres any way we could get Chandler from the Knicks? I think he'd be the perfect type of starting SF we need with Aminu off the bench.
Just thinking about it and wondering if we could give them Kaman to start along Amare and thats one skilled pair of talls.. whether they would help eachothers game or not is another question?
I'm not too good with all the contracts as well but i know Kamans is quite a bit so not sure what the trade would be
however more dreaming on my part.. Knicks are trying to unload Randolph yeh? he could help out a fair bit.. but im not sure bout it all, just thinking really, feel free to say if its not realistic at all lol cause i aint sure.

Salaries have to match. Chandler and Randolph make just over $4M combined this season. Kaman is at $11.8M and Gomes is at $4M.
It would have to be a multiple team deal with a team that would want to absorb Kaman's contract. The Knicks won't waste their capspace on Kaman when they are hoping to acquire Melo through trade or by free-agency.
Depending on the new CBA and the salary cap, the Knicks may not be able to keep Chandler and sign Melo. We know who they'll choose if it comes down to that.

Bingo!
I personally think the Clippers should stay put this season and try to develop some chemistry. Baron seems untradeable at the moment and trading Kaman alone for some wingplayers or lesser guys doesn't makes much sense.
That leaves us with Smith, Butler, Gomes, Foye, Cook and Warren as "trade material" and that's not really what other teams are looking for as long as they don't want to trade away some overpriced/underperforming guys for salary savings.
Like you've mentioned, if the Knicks are doing everything to get their hands on Melo, then Chandler would most likely be the odd man out and we could try to sign him or someone else being able to score. Combine that with another lottery pick and developement of our young guys and you could have an exciting Clippers team for next season, whenever it starts.

I don't think the Knicks would want to part with Chandler right now, unless it involves them getting Melo. If we were some how to get Chandler I would welcome that, but I think it's unlikely.

Knicks are a 1st pick away to land Melo. I really see us finishing the league in the top 22, so its not very likely our pick will be high enough to be valuable to us, especially with the potential lockout threat will push away good talent from draft.
I say Gomes + our 2011 1st top 3 protected for Chandler and Randolph.

Curry exp+Chandler for Kaman would work.

Kaman for Chandler? Not a chance. There's nothing on the Clippers outside of DeAndre Jordan (and Blake of course but that's obviously out of the question) that could possibly entice the Knicks to trade Chandler, and even that's a stretch. No offense.
Donnie is trying to figure out a way to keep Wil on this team while adding Melo, I'm sure. That is, if Donnie is even as interested in Melo as people think he is. This team is clicking right now and Chandler is having a break out year. Might just keep him around and see if a defensive big and some depth for our bench might propel us to contender status. Melo only adds more scoring which we have plenty of. Either way, it would take a lot to pry Chandler from this roster as it stands.
