Amazing to see his popularity just grow and grow. He used to be behind Dirk and Duncan, and then he passed Dirk, yet was still behind Duncan, and according to the new vote tally, he's ahead of both Duncan and Nowitzki, at 702,784, only behind Pau. IMO, there's no way he doesn't play in the All Star game at this point, but what exactly are the rules? Is it whoever is first at their position is guaranteed and then the coaches pick the next stars? If so, I still think he's gonna be on the team, but I just know that coaches generally really like Odom.

Yeah I think only the starting position is selected by fans. The rest are by coaches. Still, BG being so high in All Star Voting is really impressive. I hope the coaches recognize his talent aside from the highlight dunks - it's everything else that he's bringing to the Clippers organization as a whole which makes him an All Star.

We have been winning recently so I'm pretty sure Blake is getting recognize for just how good of a player he is.

Fans vote starters
Coaches vote reserves
Stern selects replacements for injured players (e.g. Yao Ming).

I'm happy to see Blake move up the ranks and score so many votes. I've voted for him nearly everyday along with EJ who dropped off the list thanks to the Carter trade.

Blake deserves to be in the big game and I think that he probably will. The game is in Los Angeles and it would be a travesty if he were to be left off. I'm hoping that Love and Ellis get strong consideration as well. The records of these 3 players' teams may not be so hot, but they are playing the game as well as anybody right now and should be rewarded for their performance.
