Laker fan here. Why doesn't Aminu get PT? Is he really that much worse than Gomes? I thought he was gonna be an undersized PF, but when I've seen him play he's impressed me with his SF skills, like handling the ball and his 3pt shot, and you have to think it's only going to get better.

There's also talk about trading Kaman for a SF. Truthfully I think it'd be better for you guys to trade him for cap relief, a young bench piece, and an unprotected 2012 1st. I think Aminu's the future guy at SF. Looking at the core, Griffin (21), Gordon (22), Jordan (22), Aminu (20), Bledsoe (21), you guys should concentrate on building the core with youth. Or do you guys still want to try to make the playoffs this year? What's your thoughts on this?

Gomes, Aminu, Foye, and Butler are all inconsistent. I believe VDN rotates between those four and gives whoever has the hot hand during their stint more PT, as we saw with Foye today against the Lakers. (Butler.. well, I'm not sure about him-- he's been a bench warmer during our hot streak.) Sometimes when Aminu gets PT, he's just another body on the court. I think the coaching squad and Aminu himself are still finding out what his role is on the team. But like you said, he's been showing glimpses of 3pt shooting, driving the ball, defense, and ball handling, but he hasn't excelled or isn't consistent in any one of those categories.

He does a little bit of everything and I'm sure he'll find his role on this team soon enough. Until then, VDN rotates those wing players and goes with the hot hand. =p

For a while during the hot start he was the unofficial sixth man he got more time and made the best of it. Aminu seems to pack more production into a smaller time and the communication with Bledsoe works wonders they were huge for us in the Heat game but ever since then it;s been more so so.
