Meh, I refuse to pay a subscription fee to read articles online - Sorry. Wouldn't do it for CNN, nor will I do it for ESPN. If someone can post the article, it would be appreciated.

Re: Does anyone have the Hollinger article on Griffin?
I have the article, but I'm not sure if it's legal for me to copypasta it in here. I'll sum up the article. He looks at the PER of Blake Griffin compared to other rookie seasons. BG's PER is 23.3, and the only rookies ever to have better seasons are David Robinson at 26.3 and Michael Jordan at 25.8. Shaq was at 23.2, Duncan 22.6, CP3 at 22.1.
Basically he says everyone on the list with rookie seasons at the same levels of PER ended up becoming a hall of fame player or future hall of fame player. The only exceptions on the list were two players, Terry Cummings and Elton Brand (both played for the Clippers). He says BG has been improving and rookies improve over the course of the season, so at the end of the year his production / PER could be even higher.
P.S. Technically the subscription you pay is for the ESPN magazine. You get ESPN Insider online access as a bonus for free to your paper magazine subscription. But I'm definitely not saying that I support the business model.

Sum it all up and we're left with only one conclusion: Griffin isn't just another Rookie of the Year. He's, most likely, a superduperstar. Basically, his career represents the collision of two trends that have had few, if any, exceptions: The first, that players who play this well this early virtually always become all-time greats, and the second, that the Clippers are cursed. L.A.'s "other" team will have its fingers crossed that the first trend can overcome the second.
