Pics from Darius Miles' entry on the Players' Tribune

That Players Tribune thing from Darius Miles is fantastic, possibly the best one I've read. So full of early 00's references and young kid learning to be a superstar shenanigans. I'm probably biased cause I think that was the best team ever, but it's pretty well written.

Apparently some vets filled Jerome's car with popcorn.

It's on his instagram story. I can't post it.

I know how the game is played for the rooks, but I'd probably unleash my inner-Portis.

Rome got it a little better than Trae Young did. Clips the the "decency" to cover his seats first.

Pretty cool watching Pat Bev tout our defense on twitter and tell a twitter heckler not to use the N-word.

He shot up a point in my book.

And why TF can’t I post the snap shots like I used to on the app?

Stephen A with a nice shout out to Trez and Lou Will. Not sure I agree with the Rodman comparison for Trez; other than both being super high motor players, they have such different roles and skillsets. Rodman's an elite rebounder and unselfish/limited offensively, while Trez much more gifted offensively, but not quite the rebounder and defender Rodman was.

And I completely agree with the remark about Lou's contract. That's a steal we got, for a guy who doesn't shoot it all that well, but scores when it matters. And I'm noticing he's improving as a passer/playmaker. He's known for hitting big shots, but he's fed Trez countless times for easy dunks.

I concur. I think Montrezl Harrell is more Ben Wallace than Dennis Rodman.

You and Stephen A. Smith are right about Lou's contract, but I believe Jerry West came out and acknowledged that we got him on a good deal. If I recall correctly, the Logo mentioned how Lou likely could have gotten more in the open market but that he sacrificed some of that for security and to stay with an organization he was comfortable with after bouncing around with 6 organizations within the past 7 seasons.

Now I don't recall it being mentioned, but I suspect the reason we signed Lou to the deal we got him for was because we've had upcoming free agency in mind. After Doc was relieved of front office duties, the organization seemed to immediately make a point to sign players to appealing contracts that wouldn't hamper our cap flexibility. Our most troublesome contract is arguably Danilo Gallinari's and with him playing well and staying healthy as well as having a commitment that expires after next season, it looks to be fairly movable if a situation presents itself that requires that to be done.
