More breaking Clipper news: Willie Warren assigned to D-League. Warren's mood not good even before exile to Bakersfield.

I like this move and hope he gets over it and sees it as a chance to finally get some consistant PT at the pro level.

Yeah, I'm sure no one wants to go from L.A. to Bakersfield. I guess this is good news, considering he will get some kind of PT, and that this is hinting that EJ will be back very soon.

If he lights it up there he should come back soon as we get off the road to finish the season. If he struggles he can be there for the rest of the season. I believe Willie has some game this may be his break to prove it he just has to show up and play with in himself.

I'm glad that we're finally using the D League. I was also thinking that someone may come back since Willie will be playing in Bakersfield. He shouldn't feel that this is a demotion, he should use the playing time to work on his game and get better.

I like the move.

Its clear that he wont get playing time with Foye playing very well and Bledsoe being the backup. At least he's going to get some games and minutes in. It may be D-league ball but its better than nothing. NBA players even at the bottom of the depth chart usually play well in the D-league.

Agreed. It's about time that we use the D-League. It would have been nice if our affiliate was still in Anaheim, but it is what it is. Wasn't Trey Johnson recently called up by an NBA team? If that's the case, then some playing time has opened up for a guard. Warren will be given the opportunity to log some minutes and run an offense. There's not going to be many practice days while the team is on the road trip. This gives him time to practice and be in game mode. If he went on the trip, he'd just cold and watching.

I'm just glad our team is stopping the rotting of Willie Warren.

I like the move. It sucks right now for Warren, but it will improve his game in the long run.

I agree. It was a move that needed to be made. He was pretty much rotting on the bench and he never looked happy. Hopefully he accepts that he's not quite ready yet and appreciates the play time he gets in the d-league.

Impressive Debut for Willie Warren leads to a 124-110 win. 22 points, 6 rebounds, 5 assists and 2 steals in 20 minutes.

Warren leads Jam past Springfield

The Bakersfield Jam may have found a replacement for the recently-traded Trey Johnson in newly-acquired Clippers guard Willie Warren.

Warren scored a team-best 22 points as Bakersfield, winners of four of its last seven, snapped a two-game losing streak with a 124-110 win over the Springfield Armor at the Jam Events Center on Friday night.

"We had a good shootaround today before practice and it carried over to the pre-game shootaround," "said Warren, who arrived in Bakersfield from Los Angeles on Thursday. "The big key for us today was getting our stops, spreading the ball around and getting out running."

"I thought Willie did a nice job offensively stepping in finding people, as well as getting our bigs involved, far more than any other guard has done for us all season," said Jam coach Will Voigt. "He played with a lot of confidence and had a great outing tonight."

Good to see Warren getting some solid PT and a very nice debut, best case scenario he dominates the D-League, to eventually find his way into our rotation, i see potential in Warren.

Glad to hear that Warren's playing well in the D-League. Sure beats rotting on the end of the bench. Let him work up some momentum and then when Foye or Bledsoe starts slipping, call him back up and give him some minutes.

Think the Clippers are going to let him play out about 5 games.

They should sign him to a long-term extension while they can! ;)

Hopefully he feels better about the move now, he gets a lot more work this way.

LOL I'm sure he's adjusted by now. He's actually getting some playing time and the opportunity to lead his team to victory, while the Clips are having the road blues.
