It's been a long time since I've posted & I don't have a strong opinion either way but I saw he was waived by the Knicks. What do you guys think of buike? We tried to sign him a couple years ago & he can play the two and maybe a stretch three. Talented player who can score and might be had for cheaper now, especially since he was injured. What do you guys think?

Liked him a couple of years ago when he chose to sign elsewhere. No his spot has been filled by Bledsoe and Foye. Sorry, too late.

I remember that we tried to sign him a few years ago. Unfortunately, he ruptured his patella tendon in November of 2009, and I don't believe he's played a game ever since. Unless someone has the inside scoop on him, he may have lost his athleticism and won't be as effective anymore.
Damon Stoudamire suffered the same injury back in December of 2005, but was back playing in November 2006. So if Damon came back in less than a year, it doesn't look good that Azubuike hasn't played in over a full year.
I probably wouldn't take a chance on him, not unless we work him out and confirm that he can play at a high level. I'd rather try to find another D-League player than to go with someone who is not the player they used to be.
And of course, our main weakness is the SF spot. Azubuike doesn't really fit our need right now.

He plays SG and SF I would give him a chance he can't be worse than the talent we have we need a SG off the bench and a starting SF.

His offer sheet was matched by the Warriors. He didn't choose to sign elsewhere.

GSW matched him after Mo Evans ended up on the Hawks. The Dubs were going to let Buike walk and sign Evans, but that all got screwed up.
I really liked him as a player at the time, but he'd have to show that he was healthy and able to contribute first.

I liked him as well. He's kinda gotta prove himself again though since hes recovering from a big injury. He was a pretty solid all-roundish player, a little bit of everything.
