Do you see Bledsoe and Aminu as our future starters?

Bledsoe shows flashes of brilliance, but seems to be a turnover machine on some nights. I don't think you can really argue about his talent. If he limits turnovers, and develops a consistent jump shot, I see really good things about him.
Aminu seems to be in a serious slump. He was on fire from three earlier in the year, but recently (barring a few good games) he hasn't been hitting his open shots and seems to also turn the ball over a bunch. A lot of times, I cringe when I see him drive to the basket in a half-court offense. He seems to either get blocked or lose the ball almost every time. We also assume that the club is, in general, looking for an All-Star small forward.
I think Bledsoe currently has more upside; I'll have to wait on Aminu, but I don't think I'd mind including him in a deal for a good/all-star small forward (I think he's a good asset). Any thoughts?

Aminu possibly. Bledsoe no, he just seems like a great change of pace guy to me. Not a full time starter. I do like him a lot though.

I don't see either ever becoming our starters. Bledsoe could turn into a Nate Robinson type of player off the bench. While Aminu... I'm not quite sure about him yet. I think there's more possibility of Aminu becoming a starter, but he has to work on a lot of things. I just wish he would smile once in a while.

I'm probably in the minority, but yes, I can see both of these guys as future starters. They both possess the physical talent, but at this point, they lack the "mental polish" to be starters. They can learn the mental part of the game, you can't learn the physical part. Remember how they both looked in summer league-------they've both improved tremendously. Bledsoe will eventually replace Mo, so he will have the time to develop slowly. Aminu gets the chance (baring a trade for a quality sf) to be the starter next year; he only has to beat out Gomes. The worst part of Aminu's game coming out of college was his 3 point shooting, he made that his "strength" at the beginning of the season -----after a summer of strictly working on his shot. Now with Mo on the team, Aminu's 3 pt shot is less important and he can now focus on his perimeter defense-----where he has the tools to excel. Remember, both guys are young rookies-----far from finished products; both learning new positions "on the fly". They make "rookie" mistakes-----they'll be vastly improved going forward.

That's a tough question. They could end up becoming starters, but that is not necessarily a good thing. They both have a lot of work to put in before they could be considered legitimate (or quality) starters in the league. They both have talent and great physical tools, but it's all about what is going on in between their ears.
Bledsoe is currently suited to be a change of pace guard off of the bench. The game has to slow down for him and he has to slow down for the game. He's not a natural passer like Baron, and is more used to playing off ball. Mo can do either, and perhaps Bledsoe can find a comfort level in playing behind a player like Mo. He gets in trouble when he tries to force things. He needs to find a balance and harness his speed. I don't know how fast he is, but I'm willing to bet that he is in the upper echelon of players in the league in terms of quickness. He's a little smaller, but stronger and more athletic than most of his counterparts. He's been hitting open shots more often as of late, and I would really like to see him to continue doing that. He doesn't mind playing off the ball and that is welcomed when we Gordon who is going to have the ball in his hands quite a bit. Overall, I like having players that can play both positions.
Aminu's game changes from play to play. He'll make some plays look ridiculously easy and natural. Then on other plays, he makes things harder than they need to be. His early season 3-point shot looks like fool's gold now. He was shooting above 50% at the start of the season, but his numbers have come crashing down to earth. Perimeter scoring is something that I think he needs, but there are plenty of other things that he needs to work on that are more pressing imo. His wingspan and reach are insane for a sf. He's a near 7'4 wingspan. That's going to go a long way on defense moving forward. He needs to build confidence in himself. He can be so down and so look so lost when he makes mistakes. Confidence is going to come over time. I personally would like to see him work on a mid-range game where he's able to put it up or drive to the hoop. He started the season draining 3's, but couldn't hit a single shot inside the arc that wasn't a tip, dunk or layup.

I think both Bledsoe and Aminu could become starters in the future, could being the key word. Right now neither of them is over 21 and they receive a lot of criticism on this board. They make dumb mistakes at times, but that's probably expected at this point. I think they both need some time to grow and mature and in a year or two they could be starting caliber players. I saw just give it time, for now they are good for coming off the bench.
