Now that Clippers have been mathematically eliminated from the playoff race, I believe that 30 win season is the only goal left before Clippers shut down for the season.
30+ win season is a respectable season for a team that is not yet a playoff contender and is the least that the Clippers have to achieve with the talent that they have.
Besides, last seasons team wan 29, so it would be important to make at least a step forward in a win column now that Clippers are a better team.
How can Vinnie win less than 30 games with talent that he has and claim that he deserves to be the coach of the team next season?

Agreed, at this point it's best that they get into the 30 win column to prove to everyone that the team is making continual progress and that the front office is making the right moves with each player they let go and bring in.
But let it be known, next year they have to make the playoffs with the group they have regardless of injuries, not having the right SF, whatever. No excuses.

wow! we are playing Lakers, 2 times Dallas, 2 times OKC, 2 times Memphis, Houston, Phoenix and Toronto in the last 10 games.
We are gonna decide who gets the 8th spot to the playoffs.

Re: 30 win season - the last goal for the Clippers
I would like us to win 30 games. I did predict that we would win around 35 games, so I hope we can still do that. We only need two more wins for 30 so I don't see how it can't be done.
I've been an LA Clipper fan since 1998 and that will never change. I hate our new logo and jerseys!

I want to see us get to 33 and avoid another 50 loss season. 30 Should easily be attainable, but 33 is a bit more of a stretch. We'd have to .500 in our last 10 games. Of our 10 remaining games, we have 4 home and 6 road games (1 at Staples on Friday). With a healthy squad, I'd like to see the guys get out and play hard to finish out the season.

Win as many games as possible so that Cleveland doesn't get something good from our unprotected pick.

I hope we win 30 games. When the team started 1-13, my coworker (die hard Laker fan) was talking so much crap to me. So I bet him the Clippers would win at least 30 games still.
He would owe me lunch!!! haha

That is a good one. But you can not tell your players to try to finish as higher as possible so that their pick would be as low as possible. So 30 is the only aim left. Not even 33 because no one will look at the number of losses. Just the number of wins. So I have to assume that Clipper fans as well as players will have nothing to play for as soon as they win 2 games.
I assume Clippers will lose to the Lakers (hopefully not) and than beat the Raptors (which is the only lottery opponent left) and will need one more win rest of the way with 8 games to play. And that one game will be a tough one, because there are no more easy games left. And for me that would be nice way to finish off the season.

Sounds like a pissing contest to me. I say we just finish strong win or lose and build momentum going into next season where hopefully we can focus on 45+ wins.

One more win and this season is in the books for me. But it will have to be a good one because Clippers have no more lottery opponents till the end of the season.

Not just 30, but I'd like to see us get in the 33-35 win range. That would be an accomplishment considering EJ's missed 26 games, Kaman 45 games, Smith 34 games and Foye 19 games. Have all those guys healthy and we'd be in the playoff hunt.

Have you seen the schedule for the rest of the season? Only two more home games. One against Thunder and the other on the last day of the season against the Grizzlies who might need that game badly. Road game at Phoenix might be the best chance to actually win a game.
