Steve Javie retiring

Well at least during this Lockout, NBA fans got some good news; The "Big Ego" Steve Javie is hanging up his whistle. While I think he should have been fired years ago, his knees are starting to breakdown. Maybe this is why a lot of refs are total arses; they realize they don't have a lot of time in the Bigs to make the $$$, so they become addicted to the T.V. cameras.
Maybe its time that Stern follows suit w/ former player Heyward Workman and start getting ex-NBA Bench Warmers turned Refs to call the games. Workman fought for his NBA career and knows the game inside & out, seeing that he was always working the Rule Book, wouldn't you want him now laying down the law?
W/ Javie's retirement maybe, just maybe Stern will start hiring NBA refs who love the game(like Workman) than the spotlight.
