Kirilenko is looking to be in dominant form in Europe at the moment, and IMO is the biggest sleeper of the free agent class. If we strike out trying to get SF's higher on our wish list (Butler, Igoudala via trade, etc.) then I think Kirilenko would be the perfect fit for our team. Only playing 64 games last season with Utah he posted 12ppg 5rpg 3apg 1.3spg 1.2bpg in 31mpg. He would help solidify our defense (both him and EJ being top-tier perimeter defenders) whilst helping our outside shooting. I also see him being valuable as a distributor and play-maker for us.

His current contract has an NBA-out but I'm not sure what his intentions are, whether he is open to leaving Utah or not.

Wasn't there suppose to be a Maggette/ Kirilenko Trade about 5 years ago? If the Price is right, I think AK47 would be a great addition. I think his team mates like him b/c he is a team player.

I don't really know what his plans are. There was a lot of speculation that he'd end up with the Nets due to the Russian/D-Will connection. They'll be trying to get Howard, so maybe they are conservative in their offseason spending. The amnesty clause could come into effect and allow them to cut a player like Outlaw, make a signing and still go after Howard.

Kirilenko brings everything that we need in a player. Some writers argue that he, Prince and Battier are out of the age range that we are looking for. I don't think there is anything wrong with adding a player that has some experience, because we can certainly use a veteran with all all of the youth that we have. His health is a bit of a concern, but he'd still be an upgrade to this team. If he becomes our best possible option, then I'd be content if we did end up with him (for a fair contract).

I would be on board with signing AK47. I think that saying signing a 30-31 year old is out of the age range is absurd. I can't believe some of these writers that write that. There is nothing wrong with having some veteran leadership. Blake Griffin evens said there is too many 22 year olds on the team.

Right. With the exception of someone like Iguodala, Granger or Gay, who really fits the preferred age range that would be that much of an upgrade at the 3? 2 of those players are probably not even available as things currently stand.
