Team Scrimmage at the Galen Center on Sunday (Merged)

Post#1 » by mkwest » Sat Dec 17, 2011 6:34 pm

This is just a heads up to everybody. The team will have an open scrimmage that is free to the public tomorrow at 2:30pm. Doors open and 2.

I hope some of y'all or people you know can make it. If anybody goes, you have to let us know how they looked.

I think I am going, there is a an area for Season Ticket Holders, so hopefully it won't be so crowded. From what I understand is that both Chauncey & CP3 will be suited up & on the court.
I am sure its going to be insane! Get there early!

I'm not sure that I'll be making it, but happy to hear the team is doing this. Hope we can get some first hand accounts of what happens :)
I've been an LA Clipper fan since 1998 and that will never change. I hate our new logo and jerseys!

SMH - Don't know why there's not a broadcast. Who WOULDN'T want to see these guys play. Second team is gonna get crushed.

Blake Griffin just took a charge on Randy Foye. Griffin said he's worked to improve his defense

Brad Turner

Trey Thompkins looks good early. The Clippers have been saying they got a steal there, and they may be right

Steve Perrin

So far in scrimmage: Griffin has improved. Paul is fit to play. Rookie Thompkins looks like a sleeper. Jordan still has no offensive skills

Pedro Moura

Caron Butler's mid-range J has been deadly ALL day. Even in shootaround, every time he faces up it's money #clippers #nba

DeAndre Jordan, not Blake Griffin catches the first lob pass from CP3. Yeah, this is going to be a fun year

It sucks that we don't have a live stream, but my guess is that we'll get some highlights somewhere. This is Paul's first public outing with the Clippers, we're going to get something to watch.

Clippers scrimmage ends in a tie... Crowd chanting "Overtime!! Overtime!!" wasn't planned, but putting an extra minute on the clock for O-T

1st unit (Blue) beats 2nd unit (white) 35-32 in overtime. CP3 scored the basket plus the foul to seal the game.

Practice/Scrimmage @the Galen Center

Post#18 » by RiversideClips » Mon Dec 19, 2011 1:00 am

Oh me, oh me, oh my; Just like Ralph says! Practice was fun, CP3 & Chauncey are just figuring out the system and a slimmed down DJ & Blake were just having fun
Mo was the PG on the 2nd Unit & he was going all out,he played very well. Gomes & Foye were steady & seem to be good "back-up" fits for this team. Brian Cook was ok. Thompkins from Georgia was the center on the 2nd Unit & he played well, he should get some minutes in L,A, instead of Bakersfield.
Fun Day, Hold on your Hats Clipper Nation, this is going to be One Fast & Furious Ride.
CLIPPER Darryl was doing his thing & in mid-season form!

Thanks for the summary RiversideClips. Everybody has had nothing but good things to say about Thompkins. I can't wait to see him in action. Did Willie and Travis play at all or was it just 5 on 5 the whole way?
