Mickael Pietrus waived, will the Clippers sign him?

The Phoenix Suns have waived veteran swingman Mickael Pietrus, according to sources with knowledge of the Suns' decision.

The move has not yet been formally announced, but sources said Pietrus' name appears on a list of players released Thursday that has been circulated to all 30 teams.

If Pietrus clears waivers 48 hours from the official time of his release, he'll become an unrestricted free agent.

The Clippers could use another shooting guard. I think he would be a good fit. Do you think the Clippers will bid on him?

This would be a great lineup:

Paul
Pietrus
Butler
Griffin
Jordan

Suns fan here. Pietrus would NOT start for you guys, Billups, Butler, Gomes are all much better than Pietrus. Plus he has a bum knee. I don't think he would be a very good pickup for you guys.

No. I don't think right now we need starting lineup changes, I like Billups getting this many mins.. the only thing Pietrus could really help us with is defending taller/better SG's like kobe i reckon but nah i dont think Clips will sign him

I'd rather have Bogans than Pietrus. Pietrus' shot selection isn't the best, and he isn't as disciplined of a defensive player as a guy like Bogans.

I think the Clips need to be patient. They have 2 open roster spots and we should hold on to them until we get the right guys to fill them. Fesenko in Utah would be a nice cheap addition, but signs say he is going to the Heat, I think the Clips can be selective.
Evans was a good pick up at low cost & I think other players may sacrifice $$$$$$ to play w/ this group,Times are changing, players want to come to the Lob Angeles Clippers.

Looks like he wants to sign with Boston.

I'm also with RiversidClips in that I think we should be patient. We still have that $2.5 mil TPE created by the CP3 trade and could add someone around the deadline with it.

I also would rather have another big that can provide some depth behind DJ, as I think we're set at SG(even though neither Billups nor Mo are great on defense) right now and would only have to adress this if we're to trade Mo.

I heard he was going to Boston. I'm sure we'll sign someone eventually.
I've been an LA Clipper fan since 1998 and that will never change. I hate our new logo and jerseys!
