Clippers won’t trash talk back to Lakers
When he was told that Barnes talked about Griffin’s flopping, he [replied]
“Still? From that preseason game? I don’t really have much to say to him or about that,” Griffin said. “If he’s mad that I tried to take a charge, then so be it. I’m not going to get into trash talking or going back and forth.
“… I’ve heard a lot of talk like that from them through other people. That stuff happens. We’ll let them do all that. I’m not worried about Matt Barnes and what he thinks about me flopping or not.
“We don’t get any more hyped for this game than we do for any other,” Griffin said. “It’s a game on our schedule, and it’s a game we want to win.”
But no matter how hard they tried, the Clippers acknowledged they’ve heard the talk coming from Barnes and Derek Fisher, who dismissed the notion of a rivalry by pointing to the banners at Staples Center at Lakers All-Access, three nights after the Clippers’ 102-94 win.
“No disrespect to those guys at all, but I really don’t care,” DeAndre Jordan said. “…If people talk about us like that, obviously, we’re doing something right.”

The Lakers are coming off of a 3 game losing streak, are trailing us in the division race (they are 10th in the West as of today), and are looking for a little payback after the last meeting between the two teams. They'll be motivated. They went through their first full contact practice since the season began today. Our recovering players also were able to practice today, so it's going to be a test for both teams. We're looking for a road win after starting the season off 1-3 with only the opener against the Warriors to our credit so far. Next month, 9 of our 14 games will be on the road, so we need to get comfortable winning games when we're not in front of our home crowd. Hopefully our guys bring the needed intensity and that Paul's hammy is ready to play.

I like the way that our guys are handling the questions. Our guys are thinking about the present and the future. Fisher and others are bringing up the past. The majority of them weren't even here (DJ is the longest tenured Clipper), so what has happened prior to them being here should not be much of a concern to them at this present time. The Clipper players are not getting overly worked up about anything and they shouldn't be getting bent out of shape. Griffin does draw legitimate charges. He also sells contact and flops. However, in the last game against the Lakers, it was Barnes that was flopping. Aside from that, he shouldn't criticize floppers like that when he's playing next to a couple of big ones himself.

I LOVE MK's avi, maybe he will have a former Clip each month as a new avi.
Back to business, if the Clips want to win this game they need to work as a team. When the Clips share the ball w/ each other, it puts the opposition's Defense on High Alert. The Clips need to be smart w/ shot choices & the Bench (especially Players 10-13) need to only take High % shots. I am done w/ Cookie firing those low-linining 3pt misses (watch, tonight he will be on fire!)it lets the other team back into the game
We haven't even played 25% of our schedule yet, team consistency w/out getting injured is the most important thing. I worry that Coach Brown will feed the ball to Gaol & Bynum and give our BIGS fits in the paint. Kobe will go off, like the 1st game & I would rather double team him & let him beat us rather than have him pass to the open wing. One of the "GOOD" thinga about tonight is that Kobe doesn't trust his team mates so he will probably only pass to a few players on his team.
Its all about team work! Welcome back CP3

Never thought I would see the day the Lakers trail the Clips in the standings. If I didn't know better, things are starting to look up for the Clips.
Round of applause.

Thanks SD. I hope we keep it that way. I also hope you guys can stay strong while Z-Bo is out. I would love to see the Grizzlies back in the playoffs.
