Clippers talked about sitting Blake Griffin

Clippers head coach Vinny Del Negro said the team and training staff has discussed sitting out Blake Griffin for a game early in their series with the San Antonio Spurs, but Griffin’s improvement ended those talks — for now.

“He says he feels fine. We’ll monitor it,” Del Negro said. “If it looks like it isn’t getting better, than we’ll make that decision.”

Griffin said that it’s been hard for the knee to heal while he’s playing with the injury, but the combination of time off and a better understanding of the injury have him ready for Game 1 Tuesday in San Antonio.

“I think I know how to deal with it better now, but these past two days have been good,” he said. “Also, this series might be better for it.”

Griffin said he expects less anchoring and twisting while fighting for position against the Spurs. He sprained his left knee in second half of Game 5 against the Memphis Grizzlies.

Almost the biggest thing I wanna see out of this series is no flopping. Think it'd be great to shut some people up, hopefully all the talk and insults coming our way from the flopping have made our players realise its time to stop doing it.

guys i got bad news :(

on radio they were talking about odds

1) teams coming of 10 game +rest vs teams coming off 1 day rest are 7-0
2) they won all those game by avg of 25 points
3) spurs are favored to win by 95%
line is 2200 to win 100 if you take the spurs to win the serries.
you put 100 and win 1500 if you take clippers to win the serries.

the odds are against us :(((

now i am bummed

anyway parker can get injured for 2 games ? :(

I'm curious to see how this first game goes. We'll either be tired or ready to go. To be honest I'm just relieved that we got past Memphis and didn't blow the series.

Home team wins game 7 80% of the time.
A team down by 24 or more points in the 4th quarter probably has pretty impossible odds of coming back. The Clippers are the only team to win game 1 and game 7 on the road to win a series. Win or lose, you have to play the game. If you're playing, there's a chance.
