Clippers to play Nuggets on Vegas Strip in October

Game Will Be First NBA Game Played on The Strip in Las Vegas
The Los Angeles Clippers today announced the team will tip off its 2012 preseason schedule with a matchup against the Denver Nuggets at the Mandalay Bay Events Center inside the Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino Saturday, Oct. 6. The game, scheduled to begin at 7:30 p.m., will mark the first time an NBA pre-season or regular season game has been played on The Strip.
"We couldn’t be more excited about our evolving partnership with Mandalay Bay," said Clippers’ President Andy Roeser. "We can’t wait to get back on the court next season and build on the success of our 2012 playoff run. This preseason game in Las Vegas will be the first step in what we hope will be a very special season."

Tickets priced at $150, $100, $75, $50 and $25, not including applicable service charges and taxes, go on sale Saturday, June 30 at 10 a.m. and will be sold at all Las Vegas Ticketmaster locations (select Smith’s Food and Drug Centers and Ritmo Latino). Additionally, there will be a pre-sale for Clippers season ticket holders that runs Tuesday, June 26 through Friday, June 29.

It's also been rumored that the Clippers and Heat will have a couple of games against each other in China. Going overseas is a nice bonding experience for the players and an avenue to expand their brand, but it can throw them off track as well. We made the playoffs in '06 then went to Russia. 6 years later, and we're possibly headed back overseas. We have to have different results this time.
