Re: 2012-13 NBA Schedule Released
Clippers Release 2012-13 Schedule
The Los Angeles Clippers will tip-off their 2012-13 NBA regular season schedule on Wednesday, October 31 at STAPLES Center against the Memphis Grizzlies at 7:30 p.m. in a re-match of last season’s exciting Western Conference first round playoff series that the Clippers won in seven games.
The Clippers will stay at STAPLES Center for eight of their first nine contests, facing the Lakers on Friday, Nov. 2 in the first match-up between the Los Angeles rivals on ESPN in the first of a franchise-high 30 nationally televised games. Los Angeles hits the road for the first time on Thursday, Nov. 8 when they travel to Portland in a game broadcast on TNT and travel to San Antonio, Oklahoma City, Brooklyn and Atlanta Nov. 19 – Nov. 24 for their first extended road trip.
This season, the Clippers are scheduled to appear four times on ABC, nine times on TNT, 10 times on ESPN and seven times on NBA TV. The Clippers previous franchise-high for national television appearances was 22 set last season.
Highlights of the schedule include a rematch of the Western Conference Semifinals at STAPLES Center against San Antonio on Nov. 7 and the only visit of the season from the NBA Champion Miami Heat on Wednesday, Nov. 14. The Western Conference Champion Oklahoma City Thunder visit STAPLES Center on Jan. 22 and March 3, while the Clippers host the Boston Celtics on December 27. The Clippers face the Denver Nuggets on Christmas Night at 7:30 p.m. at STAPLES Center.
The Clippers will play 20 sets of back-to-back games in 2012-13 and have four road trips of three games or more this season, with the longest road stretch coming during an eight-game trek from Jan. 30 – Feb. 11 that includes stops in Minnesota, Toronto, Boston, Washington, Orlando, Miami, New York and Philadelphia.
Los Angeles faces every team in the Western Conference a total of four times (two home and two away), with the exception of the Dallas Mavericks, Memphis Grizzlies, Denver Nuggets and the Houston Rockets who they will play three times each.

Re: 2012-13 NBA Schedule Released
Doesn't look too bad on the surface. A few easier games in the run home if we need some late wins to contest seeding, and our long road trip shouldn't be an overly difficult one.
Plenty of home games end of march/start of April when I may be making a trip over too

Soooooo....... When can we start calling dibs on the GT's?
jk
I like that we're opening up against Memphis, imo it was the best series of the playoffs. (no homer)

Re: 2012-13 NBA Schedule Released
Nice to see that we finally have some ABC games. I said it on twitter for those of you who follow me, we never would have seen this years ago. I'm liking the makeup of the team. We should have another successful season.
I've been an LA Clipper fan since 1998 and that will never change. I hate our new logo and jerseys!

So of the first 13 games, we'll be playing against only one weak team (Cleveland)? Isn't that just wonderful. I hope our starters can regain their chemistry with one another quickly.

Did we forget that Atlanta isn't really "good" anymore? Also, Chicago did a lot of downsizing this off-season

Re: 2012-13 NBA Schedule Released
It's not that bad. We were better than the majority of those teams last year when we were healthy.
Atlanta lost Joe Johnson, Marvin Williams, Kirk Hinrich, etc.
Chicago is down Rose and have lost half of their players.
Portland isn't what they used to be.
Cleveland has been a little tougher than they should have been against us the past couple of seasons, but they're still a young team.
GSW has some nice pieces (additions of Bogut & Barnes) in addition to Curry, Thompson and Lee and a coach that will hack-a-dj and rake-a-blake, but they still need to prove themselves.
New Orleans is a young team.
Minny is looking nice and had our number last season. I think they'll be in the playoff mix this season if healthy.
That leaves Miami, OKC, San Antonio, the Lakers, Brooklyn and Memphis.
Those are tough match-ups, but we're going to have to play them sometime. Memphis, we have them at home and beat them 6 out of 10 times last season. We had OKC's number, hopefully we still do. Our guys seem to always play hard against Miami. Brooklyn should be a fun match-up. The Lakers game could go either way. San Antonio?
Well, Grant and Odom can inbound better than Gomes
