Tonight's preseason opener marks the first NBA game ever to be played on the Las Vegas Strip. A common strength of both teams is the quality of depth that they have compared to the rest of the league, but each team will be missing a pair of key players in tonight's match-up. The Clippers will be debuting their new Weekend Road Blues (alternates) as well as a host of new faces. With the injuries to Paul and Billups causing them to sit this one out, Bledsoe and Willie Green will have the opportunity to run with the first team. Over the course of preseason, Vinny will likely try out different starting SG's to see which is the best fit for the team while Chauncey is on the mend.

The most interesting match-ups (imo) are at pg and c. Lawson and Bledsoe are both two up and coming point guards in the league. Lawson has proven his worth as a starter, while Bledsoe is looking to further develop his abilities to lead an offense. DeAndre and JaVale have been linked and compared to one another since their rookie season and it's going to be no different tonight. Both have dedicated their summers to improving their skill level and furthering their understanding of the finer points of the game. Who wins tonight? Perhaps the team that is less distracted by what Vegas has to offer. We shall see...

Wooo!!! first GT the year. still weird seeing the new faces, gonna take some time getting used to.

I keep seeing that this is the first NBA game played on the Strip, but I swear that the Lakers have played at the MGM Grand a few times. I know they've played at UNLV's gym. Regardless I cannot wait to watch them play. I will try to upload pics from the game tonight!

Sucks we can't see CP3/Chauncey in action but in a way we know what where gonna get out of them this season so the key guys we aren't sure how there gonna play this season are in the lineup (DJ, Odom, Hill, Barnes, Green, Crawford)

Mike if you have directv, it's going to be played on there. Channel 693 at 730 pm West Coast Time. Also, on the 11th the game between us and the Heat will be on NBA TV, as well as the Clippers season preview show

Man am I pumped for tonights game! No CP3, but I am a huge Eric Bledsoe fan anyways. Really interested in seeing how Willie Green looks. If he can start we will have a second unit consisting of Bledsoe, Crawford, Hill, Odom and Turiaf. That doesn't even count Matt Barnes, who was the leading bench scorer for the Lakers last year, or Ryan Hollins, a local boy returning to LA.
And... Chauncey Billups comes back in December from an injury I know all too well, an Achilles rupture. Damn this team is stacked! Last year, with the lockout and the trade I was excited but skeptical of what the team's future was. If Vinnie can handle all this depth, which really could be an issue, we will have one hell of a future!
Seriously, I think our second unit could handle the Bobcats starters...

I heard it is televised locally, so i am assuming someone will have a stream up, correct?

because it looks like the memphis game right now is not televised.

A stream should be available if you know where to look. All of the Clipper games will be televised locally this season with the exception of the 2 games in China against Miami, but those will both be on NBATV.

In order to post pics on the board, you need to upload them to a hosting site (e.g. imageshack.us, imgur.com, photobucket.com and tinypic.com) or something like Facebook or Instagram.
