I'm not a Clippers fan but what do you guys think about Odom. Can he recover from his brutal season with Dallas and put up legit numbers like he used to. I got em on my bench in fantasy basketball just in case he decides to play out of his mind. What kind of numbers do u expect to see out of Odom this year?

He has to get into shape.

He came into camp overweight and like a sloth. He overdid it trying to get into proper conditioning and has been dealing with a bone bruise in his knee(s). So far, he hasn't looked that great. His mind wants to do things that his body isn't capable of right now. If and when he sheds the weight and gets his wind, he can be an asset. If he's playing catch up the majority of the season then he won't help us much and will be a waste on your fantasy bench.

I am honestly pretty worried at this point. I really was hoping that he would come back to LA energized and excited to get his career going again. To come into camp out of shape and overweight tells me otherwise, regardless of the injuries.

That's not to say he can't get back into it and be a contributor this year. But it's all going to be on where his head is at. He did have a lot of catching up to do after losing last year though, so I cut him some slack right now.

He would really help the team a lot if healthy and in shape.

Meh. if he can't be self motivated with 8 million reasons then his contract will come handy to absorb someone else's financial burden as an expiring. if odom does get shipped out as an expiring to a lottery team i see that team buying him out and he will never see another NBA contract again.

I'm taking a wait and see approach. Hopefully he can get in shape and contribute to the team. But like some of you have said, if it seems like he isn't working out he can be bought out since this is the last year of his contract.

ODOM PRACTICES FOR FIRST TIME SINCE OCT. 7

Reserve forward Lamar Odom practiced for the first time in more than three weeks Monday as the Clippers continued working towards their season opener against the Memphis Grizzlies.

Odom, who said he participated in more than half of the two-hour workout, has not been on the court in a full-contact capacity since he scored four points with three assists in the Clippers, 99-89, win over the Heat in Shanghai on Oct. 7.

“It was good to see him out there,” Clippers head coach Vinny Del Negro said. “He said he felt good and we’ll see how he feels tomorrow and we’ll give him a little bit more.”

I will wait to see how he does in game one before I judge him. I am glad to have him on our depth chart behind Blake. He still got handles, can rebound/score, make FT's and dish that rock. Good riddance Kenyon.
