The Clippers played their most convincing game of the season last night against the San Antonio Spurs. They will be the 2nd game of a back-to-back against a young and talented Portland team. We responded well in areas of concern against the Spurs, but will have to do it once again if we're going to overtake the Blazers in the Rose Garden which has always been a tough place to play in. They've been a solid rebounding team that doesn't turn the ball over much. We've been the opposite of that through the first five games. Our strengths lie in forcing turnovers, pushing the tempo and of course our depth. If our shots are falling, then that just makes things a little easier. Blake and DJ both played well offensively against the Spurs and more of that will be needed against Aldridge and Hickson. In the last 4 meetings against the Clippers, Hickson has averaged 22 points on 65% shooting, along with 9.5 rebounds. He's the type of player that has given us problems and we're going to have to try to limit him while still having to deal with Lillard, Batum and Aldridge.

Here's a recent clip of DJ being DJ :D

can't make heads or tails of these stats.
i've always thought Lamarcus's length bothers Quake.

anywho....if DeAndre and Blake bring that same from last night into the Rose Garden and dominate the glass...I'm expecting a W.

Depends which team we're gonna see tonight, the one that played last night or the one that lost to the Cavs...

I kinda feel like part of that falls on the coach to motivate and get his players going.... But lets not beat on that dead horse. :)

Exactly, I am by no means guaranteeing a win. We could win or just as easily lose. I have to get this team figured out.

Dipping in for a single post because I'm really off to bed, but that was a REALLY pretty post-up DAJ just had there. Good back down, good set of shoulder fakes and a quick, tight jump hook with the right.

Beautiful.

Both teams scoring the ball in the early going, who will slow down first

Agreed. He's put in a lot of work over the summer. He needs to work toward becoming more consistent.

Crawford's last second shot is short. Clippers lead the Blazers 29-22 after the first quarter.

Solid first quarter of basketball. 5 turnovers is a bit much and mostly the product of trying to force things. We've rebounded well and are shooting at a nice clip. I'm liking the flow of the game so far and just hoping that we keep it up.
