Asked if the #Clippers can turn the corner, #Mavs C Chris Kaman said: "If (owner Donald) Sterling sold the team they might be able to.''

Dwain Price

Kaman said Sterling used to be tight with his money

"While I was there my first few four to six years, he was tight with everything,'' Kaman said Tuesday. "He didn’t want to spend the money.

"I think as he’s getting older he’s realizing, 'Hey, I don’t know how much time I have left. Whatever it is, I’m older. You can’t win in the grave.' ''

"I think (Sterling is) like, close to 80 years old, and I think that he's seeing like, 'Hey, I'm getting older, "I'm not getting any younger, I want to try to win,' so he's putting that money out, '' Kaman said. "He built that practice facility, he's giving guys more leeway on the road trips, he's spending more money on the facilities.

"I think he's saying, 'Hey, I've got to spend some money, I want to try and get a winning franchise going.' And that's what he's done.''

Dwain Price, Star-Telegram

In back to back games, we're playing the ghosts of Clippers' past. On Monday it was 2 backcourt players from our 2012 playoff team and Wednesday night it will be our starting frontcourt from our 2006 playoff team. Brand and Kaman have played around 104 minutes together this season whereas Blake and DJ have shared 426 minutes side-by-side. It's nice little storyline, plus it's Kaman's first trip back to Staples against the Clippers.

Just letting everyone know that Penn State will be playing La Salle so I won't have my full attention on the Clippers during the beginning of the game.

i used to call brand FElton as of F@ck Elton for years after he left us and Baron high and dry, but i have come to accept Odom and refrained myself from calling him Scrodom so i guess i can forgive elton now.............. :-?

I don't have any kind of ill-will for Brand anymore. It was heartbreaking to see him leave to sign with Philly. I couldn't stand him or his decision at that time and for a year or so after that. However, he was largely responsible for the best season that most of us have seen as a fan of this team, and he gave us the best years of his career. I don't like the manner in which he left, but it made a lot of sense for him at the time. Since he left, we were able to draft Blake, which led to us signing Paul and getting to where we are now. Had he stayed, we wouldn't have any of this. For that I'm thankful.

Prior to this offseason, I was more resentful of Odom than I was of Brand. I didn't think it was going to be likely that I could find myself rooting for either Odom or Barnes, but that quickly changed (although it was a lot quicker/easier for Barnes than Odom).

According to Dan Woike, Chauncey is dealing wtih peroneal tendonitis. He's listed as day-to-day, but may miss weeks. :(
