Re: Caron Butler's contract
your long post from elsewhere stated that you were looking for a "mutually beneficial trade" which included Caron and center pieced around bledsoe. I gave you a cynical reply which then you followed that up with stating you did not know who "TuffJuice" is. if you don't know Caron's Clipper nickname, you obviously never watch clipper games and thus you do not "know" what is "mutually beneficial" to our club.
you simply want our prize pg bledsoe and trying to get some kind of a feel from this board. my suggestion is to go back and read hundreds of posts regarding this matter, then you would find out that there is no chance in hell we are letting bledsoe go for anyone until CP3 signs the dotted line for the max extension. bledsoe is not just a backup PG. he is our insurance policy in case CP3 leaves or worse yet, seriously injures his knee before the season is over and undesirable to be resigned for the max.
now that i have given you what you should have known, i will politely ask, once again, please, do not litter our forum with meaningless and redundant trade proposal threads in the future.
thank you.

Re: Caron Butler's contract
Nice post, Neddy.
I am hoping that we keep playing the way we are b/c I don't think we need to trade for anyone. Bled is tricky b/c he is young (sort of like a James Harden problem) and we just have to be patient. Bled maybe happy making decent money and getting free lessons from CP3 & Chauncey and maybe in 2-3 years go for the $$$$, which we may give him.
For Caron, he was the 1st FA to say, "I'm going to be a Clipper," he is earning his check, staying true to what we thought he would be, so I have NO problems w/ him at all.
Ironic to see fans from other teams wanting to take our players, it's a great day to be a Clipper Fan!

Litter the forum with redundant trade proposals? I made ONE proposal. Unbelievable.
In your self-admitting "cynical" proposal you suggested Afflalo and a 1st for Bledsoe. Not only does that not work salary wise, what got me was that you wanted a guy who still has 4 years left on his deal. Plus, you made it sound as if trading Butler's contract wasn't going to be as rewarding as I thought it might be. So I made this thread to find out if he was considered a bad contract or not. If he was, then I wanted to know why you guys thought so. Would freeing up his $8M contract this summer be of significant worth or is it not really a big deal?

Re: Caron Butler's contract
Caron is a quality SF for us.
i often think about the future of that position for us.
and i often think, for SFs that could potentially be available, it's not really worth it to deal him.

son, maybe comprehension isn't your strong suit, but i have asked you not to "litter" in the "future" with more useless threads such as this one. the operating word was "future".
and please, stop spitting out more ignorance, i proposed affalo+ 1st for lamlam. ask anyone who lamlam is. that ain't bledsoe.
now, be gone.

i dunno bro. kids nowadays bolt the first chance they get for $$$. barnes is the only player who have taken less significantly money for better situation in recent years other than amichi, but he had his reasons. i doubt we will have two of those rarities on the same team. but bledsoe's contract runs until next season and is still a restricted FA afterall.
i agree about caron, as i love tuffjuice's attitude too, but his best days are clearly behind him now. despite his declining performance on the court tho, he is a great addition to this team overall, and we won't get better value on or off the court.
by the way that poor child will never figure out who lamlam is on his own.

ehhhhh f it.

We have an 8 Mil contract coming off the books in LO. I think we will prob re-sign him if he keeps improving to his potential. Not for the 8 Mil of course.

I'm not your son, so you can get off your internet high horse. If insulting is your thing then I hope the mods do their jobs. When you used the word litter it inferred that it was already happening. Your clever attempt to suggest otherwise is laughable. Twisting words is cute though, so I give you credit for that. Made me laugh.
If you suggested Afflalo plus the Magic 1st for Lamar Odom, then I think I know all I need to know about your matter of opinion. Here's some advice, if you don't like what you read on a forum, ignore it. Just like I plan to ignore anything else you say.

Re: Caron Butler's contract
Well, this one hasn't gone over all that great.
Neddy, sarcasm is typically highlighted by green text.
Skin, Butler is overpaid, but not really to a point where we would move Bledsoe just to shed his salary. Starting this summer, Butler could be used as trade bait to improve the roster in a swap for a player that another team may be looking to shed due to salary purposes. If the two were in a package together, it would be for us in some sort of upgrade that likely involves an all-star caliber player coming back this way. Bledsoe was basically a deal breaker in the CP3 trade negotiations, so the organization holds Bledsoe in very high regard.

Re: Caron Butler's contract
Caron makes more money than his production, but he is FAR from dead weight. So we're not trying to get rid of him.
He is a contributor and adds to our depth. I actually expect him to play a bigger role in the playoffs, actually he we are to go far in the playoffs I will have expected him to make some big shots for us.
Offseason or next season would be more likely time to trade him for contractual reasons.
We're not trading Bledsoe anytime soon. Absolute earliest time I could seem him traded is AFTER we ink CP3 to a max deal, and then only because someone gives us true value for him. In all likelihood his trade value will be greater next season, as we have protected/developed him well and he will have that much more experience next season.
