That was pretty quick. Great compilation mike. Hopefully it will get a lot of views, especially with those who only watch highlights. ;-)

It's appreciated guys, the feedback, the fact people are liking it.

I enjoy making them so it's not a problem and I'm as passionate for Clippers as ever so it just helps that. Thank's a lot.

Great point mk, people just Griffin's highlights, this is to kinda counter that. Blake has improved a lot, I can't wait to see it improve even more. Did you like the subtle commentary 'that time a little wilt chamberlain'? yeah, we know Blake has a post game :D

 this made me laugh. I'm glad you like it dude!

btw, if anyone has any more vids/compilations/mixes/stories (anything at all) to make of the Clippers I'd be more than happy to do so.

Great stuff!

One of the interesting things is that people who don't see Blake often think the reverse pivot hook shot is some sort of circus shot. On the other hand, if you watch him often, you know that Blake clearly works on that move as a counter because he does it so often and makes a good percentage of them. It actually requires some good footwork to pull that off, but being athletic, that gets overlooked.

Blake can be sloppy with his dribbling sometimes, and he will go too hard and fall on face ups once in a while, but his passing, patience, footwork and post moves get underrated by a lot of people. This is a good vid showcasing that aspect of his game as opposed to his dunks.

I wonder what a DJ post move compilation would look like based on this season. A Blake passing vid would also be cool. You guys with your compilation videos never cease to amaze me.

Sounds like some sort of option... DJ post move compilation or Blake passing compilation. I'll look into that.

So many good points og, agreed, most people that criticize Blake's game don't even watch him play, I swear.

Think after the season or at all star break a longer video should be done and posted on the GB so people can actually see the foot work.

As fans, we take on the role of production line workers when new players enter the league. We inspect them quickly, stamp our label on them, and then move them down the line so we can evaluate the next group of players. There’s no time for reassessment — we make up our minds and move on. It’s why we give out draft grades the day of the draft and never revisit them again; it’s why we call guys “busts” after two months in the league. It’s a quick process.

Blake Griffin’s story goes a little bit differently. When we saw him, we were floored. Everyone had to see this guy. We took to all the social media outlets to show him off. Sports programs set up alerts on their shows to let you know when he did something crazy.

But that extra attention? It brought about closer analysis. It is, after all, what we do. And upon closer inspection, we saw a few warts we didn’t see before — or maybe weren’t looking for. And so the overrated label got slapped right over the underrated label, and Griffin was sent back down the line.

Now it’s Griffin’s third season, and we’ve reached a strange place. After he was built up and tore back down, he gained a reputation that doesn’t seem to quite fit.

DJ Foster, NBC Sports

DJ Foster (formerly of ClipperBlog), recently wrote an article on the perception vs reality of Blake. It focuses more on the shooting aspect of his game as opposed to post game, but it was written for the same purpose.

on the GB?

I think I will, even in the Orlando game, he was on a small role with post moves including that lefty hook from a fair way out.

and mkwest^ read that this morning, good read

What happens is, every now and then he will throw up an ugly brick, just so people will think it's the same old Blake and keep underestimating him.

Haha yea, must be a deliberate strategy. Ugly brick here and there, slip while dribbling on a post move just to keep people honest

Older but interesting blog post talking about Blake's image:
I sort of feel like there are three levels of appreciation of Blake Griffin:

Casual Fan
The casual fan tunes into basketball irregularly and likes high-scoring or otherwise entertaining games. Blake Griffin is one of the handful of players this fan can name, and they love him. After all, who doesn’t love off the glass alley oops or vicious slams?

Regular Fan
The regular fan watches a lot of their local teams’ games and some of the national games. They believe they are upholding the purity of the game when they proclaim Griffin is a flopper, and they hate his incredulous reaction to foul calls (never mind that their hero Tim Duncan reacts even worse). They are the generals in the “all he can do is dunk” army.

Basketball Fanatic
The basketball fanatic enjoys Blake Griffin for what he truly is: a damned entertaining player who is slowly evolving into an elite power forward. The basketball fanatic wishes that he would use his athleticism to become a better defender, but appreciates that he is continuing to improve his jumper to become an all-around offensive threat.

Thought I'd bring this back up just to let you guys know, that at 10,736 views. This vid is my most viewed video on my channel. So people are obviously watching it and seeing it. Which is good to know.

Also I am going to do a mix in the near future exactly like this but focusing on his hustle/energy, defense and passing instead.

Nice video. I'm sure others have seen it before but Pruiti broke down Blake's post game prior to leaving Grantland
http://www.grantland.com/blog/the-trian ... -post-game

And you can compare it to his Kevin Love analysis a few months prior
http://www.grantland.com/blog/the-trian ... -post-game

The big takeaway being their PPP in post ups was nearly identical.
