Chris Paul minute restriction?

Post#1 » by LAWKK » Sun Feb 10, 2013 5:25 pm

Just curious...does your coaching staff has CP3 on any type of minutes restriction at the moment? I thought in the Heat game they said they wanted to keep him around 20 minutes but was that just for that one game?

Thanks

I dont think the coaching staff has an agenda of keeping his minutes low. However, this year he is averaging 32.9 minutes per game...the lowest of his career. In my opinion this is not done on purpose to keep him healthy or rested. The reason why Chris Paul is averaging a career low in minutes is more of a result of having a deep bench that can maintain a lead.
Im sure that if we didnt have a point guard like Bledsoe as the primary backup at point guard Chris Paul would be playing 36-38 minutes per game

Yeah, he's on a minute restriction. That past 2 games, they've kept him under 30 mpg. Should increase as each game goes by.
