Re: Blake on the BS Report
Nice interview, but Bill Simmons is not a real Clippers fan.
This was him 4 months ago:

"no way" in response to this being a team that could win in the mid-50's, and "comfortably under (49.5 wins) at 45 wins" in terms of his prediction. This was a team that went 40-26, the equivalent of 49.7 wins over an 82 game season, and his prediction was for them to not only get worse, but basically be about as good as Houston or Utah. A healthy Clippers team with Gordon and Mo Williams could win 45 games for crying out loud.
I would prefer him off the bandwagon and sticking to his Celtics.
It's interesting, every time last seasons playoffs are mentioned, Blake starts off by saying "we were banged up", which was true, Paul was banged up and clearly under-producing after game 5 vs Memphis, Blake was a little banged up, and Butler the teams only good SF last season scored 8.6 pts on 9.2 pts in the post-season with his wrapped left hand, 7.5 pts on 8.0 FGA vs San Antonio.
I think he's still a little unhappy about that, and I like it because it means that even with the loss to San Antonio, they didn't come out with the feeling of "oh, we can't beat these guys".

I think it's crazy he is so young that he did not have privilege of watching Grant Hill in his prime. Those that don't know this man was suppose to be the next MJ and he had major endorsements to boot. I think its speaks more for Grant Hill still able to play at high level. He is like the George Foreman of the NBA. He had some major time off but his time-off was due to injuries.

danny, it's not that blake is too young, but it is that we are too old.
i enjoyed watching that bluedevil squad of christian laettner, bobby hurley, cherokee parks, brian davis and of course, grant hill. that team was something close to the UK 5 and michigan's fab 5.
