Finals? Wow, I don't think I'm that confident. Finals would require basically everyone playing to full potential. That means Billups healthy, Odom being useful as a scorer, DJ active, Butlrer healthy, etc.

Maybe even more impotent is tha it will require an ability to play defense down the stretch, which the Clippers have shown in recent games, but over the season, the defense in close games has been atrocious. People look at the offense, but the Clippers have been able to score at an effective rate down the stretch, problem is that they haven't been able to defend anyone. Finals, WCF, those are all a bit away if you can't defend anyone in the closing minutes of close games.

If we keep playing the way we have I could see it. Won't be easy tho likely having to go through grizz spurs and okc

Need to get some game reps for Billups going in so a good sign he will be good to go against Portland. Also if we can get more game time for Ronny Hill, and Odom in the next two games would help everyone being locked in game shape reps.

means vinny is gonna put confidence in him and give him the minutes so he won't whine like a baby and give different level of effort.

SAS doesn't scare me....too many injuries...SJ cut...there's discord there...plus we beat them save for a duncan travel/ lucky shot.

Memphis...just not scary

only team that is scary is OKC...most of my fears are tied up in us not being able to stop Durant.
i think we can make an adjustment in how we guard Russ with our bigs and frustrate him/ make that team implode.

It's gonna be a tough playoffs, we are gonna have to grind it out with Memphis and it's not gonna be easy at all. We're gonna need to play really well and have a few lucky bounces just to get out of the first round, and if we do, we'll basically have to play at our best level of the season just to have a chance with OKC. I can see it happen but it's gonna be really difficult.

The way it stands... i think we can beat Mem, we can beat OKC, but as long as GSW doesn't get to the west conf finals (which i think they can do) then we can make it to the finals..

GSW/SAS will prolly whoop the crap out of us if we meet them in the WCF, so i'm hoping houston makes it =P lol

edit: i forgot about DEN injuries, i'm not scared of them xD

i view GSW as having a strength of something we're not good at. i still don't view the matchup as an impossible one. they beat us once early to start the year when we lost to Cleveland 2 nights later or vice versa...clearly not our best ball. the next time on a back to back coming from denver to GSW after the 17 GWS. then the next win was a close game with chris paul on a hobbled knee. i don't view them as a team that really got the best clippers every time they faced us and was just better.

SAS...parker on a bum ankle...manu injured...diaw out with a bad back...just cut s.jaxx and picked up t-mac.
that team is only as scary as we make them....if we go into the series scared of popovich and what they did last year...sure they're scary.
but we just came off a game where duncan traveled n threw up some BS in SAS to beat us.

I think Billups being healthy will be important because I have a feeling that VDN will give him minutes, and if he's getting minutes while sucking, he'll hurt the team.

I don't think there's any chance to matchup with Denver unless they get to the WCF, so that isn't as relevant. Pop is a smart coach, Clippers suck at guarding the 3PT shot, and the Spurs know how to defend. Stephen Jackson being cut should help, not hurt them, I mean we can't get too biased, people could easily say the Clippers have discord too and that it will affect how they play in the post-season.

SA and OKC are still better teams. WCF means beating a better team, and Finals means beating two better teams. It will take more than confidence to achieve that.

im not scared of Pop. he's lost to Avery Johnson, Mike D'Antoni, Lionel Hollins and Rick Carlisle...the latter 2 i consider good coaches with Rick Carslile needing the proper opportunity to enter elite status...the first 2?...lulz.
all coaches Id consider looking up to Pop though.

SAS has been pretty average as of late. and they're injured. lol at Tony Parker getting outworked by Steve Blake of all people. Manu is hurting.

I'm scared of their threes in the context of parker turning corners and seeing nothing but daylight.
then us trying to double off him the next time so he won't see daylight and then duncan making the extra pass to one of his goons for 3.
im scared of the three in the context of this team hitting on all cylinders and stretching us out to hit the three ball.

im not just naturally scared of bonner, hill or leonard...no...im just not....thats what this series would be if it started now...parker being average...garbage/ hurt manu trying to penetrate...TD going one on one and us realizing over time we don't need to stretch ourselves thin trying to guard them.

strip the names off the jerseys...even before the game SAS beat us with that travel...they haven't been the better team and they can't beat us....not as it stands right now.

It was all about health. Blake's back kind of concerns me, but I'm going to stick with 5.
