Clippers come up a Staples sweep, going 2-0. Winning game 1 by 21, and game 2 by 2 courtesy of Christopher Paul. Looking to get to 3-0. Zach Randolph is fat.

I'm hoping that the ending of the last game can be a blessing in disguise for us.

and by that i mean:
I'm hoping Memphis takes a close game like that and uses that to be overconfident that we can't beat them there. Would be even better if we snuck up on them and went up 3-0.

I'm glad that we were able to hold onto the victory in game 2. Game 3 would be a lot different had we let that one slip away. It's going to be a hostile environment, but I just hope enough of the guys step up for us to put us over the hump. Role players tend to not play as well away from home, which puts more pressure on the stars.

This season, Blake has been around the same on the road as he has been at home. His shooting percentage and free-throw percentage drop by 1% and his assists have dropped by 1%. Paul takes 2 more FGA per game on lower efficiency.

From the role players and/or bench, Billups, Jordan, Crawford and Bledsoe have each played better on the road. Jordan's playing time and rebounds have gone up away from Staples. Billups, Crawford and Bledsoe have all scored at least 1 more point (2+ in Crawford's case), and their percentages have skyrocketed. Billups is 33.8/29.4/91.2 (FG%/FT% @ home, while he is 47.5/44.2/93.3 on the road. Crawford puts up 43.4/35.6/87.7 @ Staples and 43.8/38.8/93.7 on the road. Bledsoe is 42.4/29.4/77.4 @ home and 46.6/47.7/80.2 as a visitor. We'll need those trends to continue for us in the Grindhouse.

I'm expecting the games to be called a little more loose in Memphis. I see a lot of people complaining about officiating and saying that we're getting all the calls. Memphis has had more free-throws and we've had more fouls called against us despite the supposed "home cooking." We'll have to continue to overcome that if we're going to take one on the road.

Coach gave Clippers the day off after dramatic win Monday night. Every player showed up at practice facility anyway. DJ and Blake worked tirelessly on FT shooting. Head to Memphis tomorrow. Play Grizzlies Thursday and Saturday on Prime Ticket.

The GB and different blogs.

1) zack wont be in foul trouble
2) likely at least blake and maybe someone else will be in foul trouble
3) they going to be hyped and they going to come out on fire. we got to survive the early barage. we need to make shots. or we lose. simple as that.

win game 3 you finish them.
give them game 3 they will think they got a chance. you dont want extended round.
remember last year we were all beat up vs the spurs.
well this year we get the young and fresh okc who should be done in 4-5 games

Chris Paul needs to co e out scoring in order to prevent any early deficit, that will help a lot. Of course if guys are making shots, he doesn't need to force it, but he needs to come out aggressively as a scorer

BLED's feat:

I'd just like to see the same Blake Griffin from game 2, so aggressive inside and outside, rebounding. Was playing like he is by far the best PF in the league.

I don't think we're going to see an aggressive Paul out the gates. This has to be all Blake, getting them into foul trouble. He's the youngin, who needs to have those amazing playoff numbers and establish himself as our most dominant player if we ever want to get far and win a chip.

Do us proud Clips, I agree with Blake having to set the tone early. He's gotta go at Zbo, Zbo seems to just like to come into the game at his own pace and not right away. Blake going at him early immediately put him off his game it seemed in Gm 2.

Clips should come away with this, but home court + #1 d in the league is gonna be verrrry difficult.
