Brotha, DTS dont like to lie when he says things. Say what u want to say about the man, but he is the owner of the Los Angeles Clippers. CP will leave a guaranteed 27 million on the table with questionable knees if he signs with a different team. DTS will NOT authorize a sign and trade IMO.

I still think he'll sign with us cause we are the best situation for him by far, but he has every right to be pissed, even if what Sterling said is completely true.

What this reminds me though, is how at every turn of the road DTS always manages to take the very worst possible choice, and this has been going for 34 years now. Longest effing owner tenure in the NBA and he's managed to unmistakenly be the worst owner in sports for the whole of it :x

I feel like every good thing that's happened for us lately has been possible because Sacks (and Oshley before him) has made some circus moves to bend reality and convince him to choose the right path instead of what he thought he should have done.

Life would be so different if Geffen had bought the team when it was reported he was going to a few years ago... I mean seriously, man's 80 years old and looks healthier than me, are we going to have to suffer him until he's 100?!?!

Sterling should not have talked to Simers or any other reporter. Hopefully Chris Paul isn't so offended that he leaves.

Oh s**t I hadn't seen that, what did he say exctly? can we definitely cross him off the list then?

He talked about Sterling's recent comments to Simers about it being a players' league and that you have to do whatever it takes to please him. SVG said that it's understandable that players may not like a particular coach and that it was okay for them to voice their opinions to tptb. At the same time instead of just putting it on the players, take responsibility for your actions/decisions. He also said that it's not in a franchise's best interest to let the players make all the decisions. If the players are running the show, it won't work.

iono...

DTS did what we all wanted. Now we're blaming DTS the reason why CP3 is pissed? WE WANTED VDN OUT, THE WORLD WANTED VDN OUT. Whatever. We all knew the best thing to do was fire his arse, he did it, now people flippin it saying it was CP3s fault. Well guess what, it IS partly his fault, WE want to sign CP3 long term, you think we had a better chance to sign him with VDN coming back? No. So yes, cp3, it is your fault why VDN got fired because we want a better coach for the team and one that'll make you happy.

Just throw money at malone or sloan and cp3 will have no choice to stay.

NO. It was generally agreed by everyone that VDN was not the best choice going forward, REGARDLESS of CP3's opinion. So WHY insinuate that it was the players that got VDN fired???? Smh at Sterling again unfortunately...

Yeah that's the thing, DTS wanted to keep Vinny, and there was a report somewhere that every living Clipper with a cellphone started reaching for his number when they learned that. I bet if CP3 overtly said something like "you're management, you decide" Vinny'd still be here. It was a no brainer and it didn't even had to come to Paul being asked. Now on top of all that he's being painted as a coach killer, I'd be as pissed as he probably is.

I'd still be very surprised if doesn't re-sign with us.

Wait, someone just metioned Brand right? yeah it's true, at this point nothing would surprise anymore :-?

because CP3 is the MAIN Priority of the offseason and keeping him happy is the #1 priority. Regardless of DTS saying it or not, everyone knows why VDN was fired, and it was because of CP3.

media is just blowing it out of proportion imo, just like they do everything else. If they don't, they wouldn't have a job.

BG's response to this was to "remember who the source is" when you read these things.

But you just gave a bunch of legitimate reasons why everyone wanted VDN gone anyway. Why drag CP3's name into this?

And how do you know CP3 'engineered' this? There is now plenty of people saying otherwise.
