I am hoping the Clips knock on his door or call him after 9:00pm tonight. 3 years for 8 - 10 million, he & CP3 have become friends b/c their kids are around the same age & play together ( I have read.) I liked Barnes when Dunleavy was signing him to 10 Day Contracts 10 years ago & I think he earned a spot & a pay raise last year. Its time to get the team roster together, so lets sign this intense combo player b4 someone tries to get him, he is worth re-signing.

Would be happy to have him back on the team I would wonder how it would work would he start or off the bench. Would like to see what Bullock can do but also be nice if we could have new starting SG and SF.

anyways re-signing Matt should be a priority right now.
He'd played tremendous numerous times last season next to CP3.

He was one of the only veteran addition that exceeded expectations. Hit the big shots all seasons and in the playoffs. Guy also carried my fantasy team for a stretch. They need to bring him back.

I hope they bring back Matt Barnes and they need to make him the starter. I think Dudley is just insurance in-case Matt takes a better offer with another team. I'm hoping the Clippers can convince Carl Landry to make the jump.

If Billups and Hollins come back on cheap veteran minimum deals, I'm all for it, otherwise look elsewhere. I'm not sure where the Clippers can really look for a back-up PG but I think the Clippers should bring back Ryan Hollins since he also played for Doc Rivers. I think Jamal Tinsley, Earl Watson, Keyon Dooling and even possibly Derek Fisher would all get looks for a veteran minimum signing to be the back-up PG.

also i think young reggie maybe able to contribute from the get go. we still need a backup PG and a backup center, but our current roster looks like

we have 11 with 4 contracts that are either non or partially guaranteed. i can see us going after a full MLE backup bigs and not offer anything more than 120% of last year's salary to barnes, and matt turns down our offer. still, a back up center is now our 1st priority then a backup PG.

keyon or watson okay, even some old fan favorites like shaun livingston or bobby brown, just don't ever bring back daniel ewing.

Where's Jordan Farmar? That guy will take a minimum to get back in the league. He's solid on the ball and will compete with Chris everyday in practice.

YUP bc starting Dudley would be a HUGE mistake.

If he can get the money elsewhere, I understand.

I think he wants to be back, but really wants to see what other teams are willing to offer before deciding whether to take less to come here or not. The Clippers would love to bring him back and still sign Landry, but it's hard to do both. Not impossible, but not necessarily easy either.

Wow!!!! 3 years for 11 million dollars, I think it is a WIN-WIN. Welcome back Matt, I am so glad that you & Management worked this out, just play as hard the next 3 years as you did last year.
What about offering Kaman a one year for $2mil to back up DJ?
