I think the Clippers took a big step ahead this summer. You guys brought in two quality players in Dudley and JJ. Dudley is a great defensive player and also has a great midrange game. Jj will play the role of ray allen in boston.I Think rivers will really help the development of jordan and griffen.Alot of people are doubting this team, but u guys will really excel next season.

I really don't think there are a lot of haters in Clipper Nation, I admit that I am not always enthused by Management's moves & I am vocal in my displeasure, but I don't hate "Clipper Nation."
I teach HS, 80% of Campus know as a Clipper Season Tickets Holder, in my class I have a Clipper Shirt, Jersey, Banner & Flag, but I still talk about the things I don't like about the organization & its choices. I am not a Doc fan, I voiced my opinion& now its done; he is the chosen leader of the team & I need to accept it. I don't like it, but that is the way it is.
I think there are a lot of Clipper fans like me, we love our team, but are realistic in our views. I love the last two years, so maybe management knows something,,,,,,,,, I am just going to "Fasten my Seatbelt!"

I would say I'm critical of the Clippers but not a hater (you can look at how long I've been here to get a sense of my dedication to this team). I don't think this team, even with Carl Landry, has enough to win. The only way they do that is if Blake and/or DJ take, not just one step, but two steps up in their respective games. It's possible but I would say it's not probable. Regardless, this team is a perennial playoff team. Given where we've come from, how can I not be ecstatic with where we are?

yeah right so many are hating on the redick/dudley for bledsoe/butler swap heavily but fail to see the big picture. :nonono:

Personally I think we could do w/o Landry and go after a dude like Blair or Speights for less $$$.

I LOVE the Dudley & Reddick addition, I think we did amazing on the trade. Bled was at the highest value he was going to get & I am so STOKED to see a JJ/CP3 back court; the combined basketball IQ is off the charts.
We are allowed to be critical & there is a difference w/ the Haters .

If there's any fans that should realize teams can't just consist of highlight reels, it should be US clipper fans.

The people that aren't happy with this trade probably would've loved to see a guy like DeRozan or Mayo join instead, DeRozan would be very iffy cause it's not really suited to our team. You know what is suited.... SHOOTERS. Highlights don't win playoffs, lobs don't. Mayo's very up and down but could've helped us a lot with his shooting but instead we get TWO NATURAL shooters at the SG and SF spot, who can both defend, and who are great locker room guys.

You know what good team mates/locker rooms guys + defensive shooters equals on a team like ours? wins, especially in playoff games. Could you imagine no spacing at all with say, DeRozan and Barnes starting with CP, Blake, DJ in a playoff game?? instead of Redick and Dudley? we'd all be hating on the trade

basketball IQ like Riverside mentioned is undervalued, JJ and Dudley bring a lot of positive things that help in big time games and playoffs. This was a great trade team-wise IMO.

I really don't think people complain much here. Other places, it's way more brutal. As a fan, you're not always going to agree with what the organization does or doesn't do, just as you're not going to agree with everyone's opinion on how to fix things. At the end of the day, we all want the same end result and that is to win, whether it's the way we envisioned it or not. We've all been proven right and we've all been proven wrong, but we're still committed to the team.

The doubters/haters or whatever you want call them can be annoying and frustrating at the times. You just can't get too worked up about them. Don't let them steal your joy, because they have a misconception and keep blabbering on about it. Just enjoy the team. We've had a lot of lean years and have remained loyal and dedicated. I don't know if I could say the same about an average fan, even the ones that think they're diehard.

As far as being a contender goes, you need a lot of things to work in your favor. That may mean that you just need to be healthy. It may mean that you need certain players to make the necessary improvements in their game. It may mean that you need a little outside help. I'm in support of the recent moves that we made, but the work isn't finished yet. That makes it hard to speculate just where we'll be once the season gets here.

the most annoying person is the guy above who is critical of the clippers. We'll always be a piece or 2 away. blah blah blah.

for some strange reason. I don't think these comments come from a need to tell teams that aren't quite contenders that they aren't quite contenders. Maybe it was the flopping in 2012. Maybe it's the whining for calls. I really think it's people who can't stand to see that the Clippers actually have fans that care, that know the sport and are confident in their team.

if ur team is not SAS or the Miami cHeat...ur team is a player away...or some player's development away from winning or "contending"

feel FREE to go into those other forums and remind those fans just like you remind us time and time again that they aren't ready.

nahh....it wouldn't fit into your NBA forum agenda to go to OKC and tell them that they got backdoor swept in the finals, lost harden and that they need to make a deal and have Durant develop more to win....come to our forum to rain on our parade.

FOH.

Doc, Reddick and Dudley are the sign of this year's improvements. Doc is a defensive coach who will help the clips on that end of the ball and unlike VDN and most coach's these days, he demands respect. Reddick and Dudley gives Paul the kind of space (maybe better spacing) that Mo Pete and Peja gave him to operate his penetration and pick and roll with Blake...one thing I'm really happy about is the fact that a washed up Billups isn't going to be in the lineup anymore, he was such a liability in the playoffs on both sides of the ball...
