Hopefully he can have some incremental improvements in his defense, rebounding and shooting percentages like he said, mainly defense and shooting. His defensive rebounding is actually not bad.

I like that he's aware of his inefficiencies/weaknesses. There is a role for him if he can improve in a few areas.

Yea, it's always good when you are aware of your own deficiencies as opposed to being oblivious to them, or dismissive about them. Of course there's always a guarded optimism about what kind of improvement is expected from players. Mullens has incrementally improved, so optimism makes sense for him, he isn't a case of one of those guys where it's like okay, we can't hear this 5 years in a row and still be expected to have optimism in year 6 (eg: Michael Beasley type guy).

I was just thinking about Mullens. Seeing our depth chart that is the only section that makes me cringe a little.

Jordan/Mullens/Hollins
Griffin/Jamison/Amundson

Not great as far as backup bigs, but if Amundson makes the team, I hope he goes ahead of Hollins on the depth chart. Also think Mullens will improve defensively.
