He knew that he wasn't a priority during free-agency. We thought we were going to pair up Brand and Baron with Maggette being the odd man out. Brand took his talents to Philly, but Maggette still gave the Clippers to match (he was unrestricted btw) Golden State's offer.

He was one of my favorite Clippers in the past even with all of his faults.

The sad thing is that all but ahead of him are HOF's or will one day be HOF's. Of the 4 that aren't, 2 of them were Clippers (Tom Chambers & World B. Free).

To answer your question, no. I posted this on "Ralph's" facebook page and I will post it here again. Why couldn't Corey pull a McGrady and sign with a team late in the year. Go to China to play in their short season, get some money and expose yourself to the Chinese fans (and marketing dollars) then come back late in the year when teams need to fill in for depth. If there is one thing Corey could do, it's get to the free throw line. Getting the other team in foul trouble is huge in the playoffs. There will be a team that needs a 4 to 8 minute guy in April. Why not Corey?
