why is there a 73 almost 74 year old ref in the NBA

Dick Bavetta will turn 74 on Dec. 10, why is he still reffing? There is no mandatory retirement for refs/ In the NHL Officials are done at 55, why not the NBA.

Not a fan of Knick Bavetta as a ref. I do wonder how long he'll go though.

Not a fan of dick but hey if he can still run the court he should go as long as he wants.
