Why do we have so many back to backs in January?

Post#1 » by Quake Griffin » Fri Dec 20, 2013 3:55 pm

is this normal?
I'm particularly pissed off because they don't ever come with 2 easy opponents....and they're the traveling back to backs that every team freakin hates

3rd at Dallas
4th at SAS

17th at Knicks
18th at Pacers

24th at Bulls
25th at Toronto

29th Wash at home
30th at GSW

each one of these back to backs ends with a day off and a game the next day.....so the 6th, 20th, 27th and February 1st we play.

so it's really 3 games in 4 nights 4 separate times.

am i an ass?
is this normal?
i feel like...somehow...the league has given us the short end of the stick with our tough schedule early on and now this.

I agree our schedule is bs, but just think how well we've been doing and how light our schedule is towards the end of the season. Cheers me up:lol:

Its because of the Grammys road trip.
Plus, why would I want to go to the NBA? Duke players suck in the pros.

It is pretty odd, since we've been at the top of the league in games played for basically the whole season so far.

If JJ is truly back by the 15th we should be fine. By then if not set backs we should be at full strength and will be a needed test.

i'm not mad about the January schedule. i am mad that we have to play the blazers to finish our season on a second night of a back to back, which could be a pivotal game that dictates western conference's playoff seeding.
if that game becomes an important one, you bet i'll be there with my wife at the rose garden, getting booed by the local fan base.
ehhhhh f it.

Maybe it's just easier for the schedule maker to do that since we have to be on the road. We can't do anything about it now, we just have to do our best and deal with it. Honestly I think most of the games come down to your mental state. As long as this team is into playing basketball we should be OK. (And it doesn't hurt if we're healthy too)
I've been an LA Clipper fan since 1998 and that will never change. I hate our new logo and jerseys!

Glad we have them in January and not February or March. Good midseason test for this team.

Looking over the schedule again we don't get many days off between games until the all star break. Jan 10 against Lakers to Jan 15 Mavericks is the longest rest we get til the break. Everything from here on out will be back to back or one day off the biggest need is to stay injury free.

yea...injury is my biggest concern.
a day off is great but when ur looking at how our games are piling up going into January, I don't think they'll mean much.

I can't wait until the 10th. Let's beat the Lakers and get these guys some rest.

sidenote:
anybody know when Bullock will be back and how his ankle is?

Might mean less in March and April though, can't complain too much about that
