How would you guys feel about getting Melo? Would you do a package of Blake Griffin, , Jared Dudley, Ryan Hollins, and a future 1st round pick to the Knicks for Iman Shumpert and Carmelo Anthony?

First off Bleacher Report is a joke of a news site. I'm sorry but it is and secondly no. I wouldn't deal all that to get Melo. Maybe if we gave up Jordan's contract. But even so, I just don't think that deal makes sense in any way.

The key would be to try to add Melo w/o losing Blake or DJ.

Not for trading Blake it just cant happen after all he has done for the franchise. Not to mention Blake still has so much more room to grow. Only way Melo becomes a Clipper is if he opts out at season end and takes a pay cut to come to the Clips. Would be easier if DJ was expiring this year and could work a discount hell even Paul should of considered this a gave the Clippers a little cap love to bring Melo in.

Trade Dudley and release all bench bigs and and hope Melo takes less which I doubt.

I like the idea of getting Melo without giving up Blake or DJ. I know that's probably unrealistic so I'll be happy to keep Blake and not get Melo.

Clips would only sign-and-trade for Melo in the off-season if they only had to give up their bench guys. No-one is giving up a major piece for Melo at this point.

That's Crawford, Dudley, Barnes, Collison, Green, Bullock, Mullens, and whoever they select in the 2014 draft. Then you include some future 1st rounders.

Knicks are in no position to bargain like that now that Melo has said he will opt out.

He is a great player and there is no denying that,Doc's main appeal was his ability to control egos and just overall player management so he could be a pretty amazing second option with Blake being perhaps the best third option of all time.
If Doc could make this work we could very well have 3 players alone score 50-60 points and with Redick and DJ not being pushovers in their own respect we could very well have one of the best offences of all time and an elite defence with time :O

this is the third Melo for blake thread in last month alone, and at least 5th in last 2 years, i think.


I have a counter proposal. Knowing that Melo is a chucker who needs the ball in his hand, i think he is best as our 6th man, off the bench. we will give you Jamal Crawford for Melo's bloated expiring, and your first.

that's right, you take jamal, and give us your first, and you will STFU and like it.

Blake isn't going anywhere. He's at beast level once again. Just get Melo in free agency at the end of the season.
