ahhhhh.... i don't like the list. i don't like it at all.

first of all, if you haven't even played 3 seasons in our uni, you don't deserve to be on this list. otherwise Dominique Wilkins should be top 3. this rule should eliminate players like Mark Jackson who trashes our franchise nowadays in the media as well. also, players who spent more time with us, should be considered higher on the list than players who were better basketball players who left us as soon as they could.

secondly, even if a player was injured for a long time, their tenure and overall career should define greatness. therefore Bill Walton should be in top 5.

lastly, 50 is a huge list. we should probably consolidate the list to top 20 or top 25. too many below league average guys are on the list.

well, my 2 cents of a rough draft would be something like this...

1. Blake Griffin. the man who made Clippers not only relevant, but put us on a national spot light, without him CP3 wouldn't be here. in no time in history, Clippers has been this popular in NBA, and globally known. No more a punch line in late night talk shows, and many younger fans feel it's hip to be a clippers fan. this was an improbable task for any player, as long as i have been a clipper fan.
2. Eric Piatkowski. the Mr. Clipper. 9 years he rocked our jersey through some of the most darkest days, and always held his head up high, proud to be a clipper, and willingly stayed when there were better options. he left to chase a ring after his prime, and i am not mad at that. the first jersey we should retire on the rafter should spell his name on the back.
3. Bob McAdoo. a great player. just don't want to have a guy who actually never rocked a "clipper" jersey who nowadays is identified as a laker ranked too high, but his talent and franchise tenure wise, he deserves to be here.
4. Danny Manning - #1 draft pick who had his best years in Sports Arena. I miss those Larry Brown years.
5. BIll Walton - he came here and wanted to do well for us, but his knees were shot. still a HOFer who promoted the clippers all through out the years. loved him and Ralph TV years ago.
6. Elton Brand- still hate the guy, but can't hate what he has accomplished for us.
7. CP3- his tenure is still fresh, and he should move up on this list all the way to the top each and every passing year of his contract.
8. Ron Harper - the Hollywood. the second Jordan until his knees gave out. what a player and was a joy to watch him during his years here in ClipperNation.
9. Cat Mobley - THE FREE AGENT who started all this. without him, we may still be in the lottery. thank you Cuttino.
10. Michael Cage - the rebounding machine.
11. Sam Cassell - he was with us too briefly to be in top 10, but if he stayed even just 1 more season, he should be way up. two full seasons and demanding a trade leaves a little something to be desired. he will always be the captain in my book however.
12. Gary Grant - the General.
13. Corey Maggette - only a half a player with no defense, but what a spectacular offensive player he once was. a foul inducing machine.
14. World B Free. - the name alone deserves to be in top 15.
15. Ken Norman - the snake was once our #1 go to guy. graciously took the back seat when Danny Manning, Charles Smith, and Benoit Benjamin came around. still a vicious tweener forward.
16. Randy Smith - a great player, but a short time clipper and never a LA Clipper. ( i know my #3 guy falls in the same category, but Bob Macadoo is a HOFer. randy is not) was a very good soccer player and contemplated leaving basketball for futbol in the 70s.
17. Loy Vaught- the Batman to Eric P's Robin-hood between 94 to 97.
18. Charles Smith - once a part of fearsome frontline we sported. Ken-Danny-Charles were a real fun bunch.
19. Chris Kaman- the Kaveboy may hate us now, but he will probably retire as a Clipper, IF his jersey is ever retired...
20. Terry Cummings- he only played 2 seasons with us, which is the reason why he is the last of my top 20. but he did win the ROY with nearly averaging 24-11. if he played as long as Loy, he could have been a top 5 guy.

Ron Harper said if he was going into the hall, he'd go in as a Clip.

Bulls and Laker ships and he still was able to recognizes our franchise as his best years.

yeah i still have ron harper's 91-92 (? i think) season jersey. always loved the guy. only guy i couldn't hate on those lakers and bulls teams too.

also, i sort of bent my own rules to slot in Sam Cassell and Terry Cummings, and i think i should stick to 3 years minimum rule and revise the list by moving everyone behind Sam up 1, and add Norm Nixon and Ernie Digregorio.

I'd have to put Loy Vaught higher, I always respected the intensity and effort he gave us. I've always thought he was vastly under rated. If things had worked out the way I hoped they would have then Vlad Radmonvic would be on this list. Getting rid of him in the Charlotte expansion draft paved the way for us to draft Shawn Livingston. If he could have stayed healthy he would have been one of the most entertaining players of all time.

therefore Ike doesn't count. he hardly played in clipper uni after getting traded at the deadline from miami, and didn't stay despite our "i like ike" button efforts at the arena.

elmore was hardly a force. benoit benjamin was probably more often dominant than steady elmore.

big ole Stanley i do love, and he is probably in top 25 for sure. but other names on that list have done things that are either in the record books, like Ernie who still holds the most assist by a rookie with 25, best rookie stats by a clipper, or had more impact to the game like Michael Cage or Norm Nixon, with more consistent high level of playing. Stanley was at times a superman, but other times ate himself off the court. still love him tho. let's call him the 21st great of all time.

Lmao I was being sarcastic buddy. I would never consider any of them in the top 50. I think Baylor wasted so many picks on big men. Especially Olowokandi instead of Bibby. I was so pissed! I agree with most of your list but I still think MJackson deserves to be on the list. Regardless of him being so negative towards the Clippers he was still one of my all times favs

oh. well it's hard to decipher sarcasm over the internet at times. but now i see it was a shot at baylor which he so deserves.

and i disagree about Mark Jackson. he used to be my favorite player way back in high school, i used to even imitate his arm extension while gaging for free throws. but the truth is, he spent 2 years with us and couldn't wait to get the hell out. he posted 14.4 and 8.8 during his first year, and 10.9 and 8.6 in his second and the final year with us. that is hardly a stat line deserving recognition, even if that player spent his entire career with us and took us far in the playoffs. Mark Jackson didn't. Larry Brown probably could have started Gary Grant and got similar results. Mark Jackson would probably identify himself as a pacer first, and despite his troubles, a Knick second. we don't need him.

besides, even if we allowed lesser than 3 years tenure players on the list, Sam Cassell and Terry Cummings would probably take spots over Mark Jackass Jackson.

we should make a "the worst 50 players of all time" list. I'm sure that list will have Olawakandi near the top, maybe just below Benoit Benjamin who flipped a bird at Clippers fans at the sports arena.
