Well 2-3 games would make much more sense. Can anyone find an article or something that says Crawford will be out a couple of games?

Jamal Crawford is out tonight and will likely miss 2-3 games with a strained left calf.
7:55 PM - 1 Mar 2014

I got this from a Clippers Meme Page on FB.
they've posted stuff before and I've been like...post the GD source.
and they've been pretty reliable even though i can't immediately google their stuff.
this time i said...post ur source....they post BR article with that tweet in it.
and they respond with the same thing u said....that they got a notification 2-3 weeks.
bottom line:
I should have waited before posting this. now we're still unclear.

with ben gordon's release today, i know he won't make the playoff roster as far as my understanding goes, but i would think picking him up would still be a big positive to navigate through the JJ and Jamal-less roster to a winning streak leading up to the playoffs. grover played decently, and bullock was surprisingly good last night, but more depth wouldn't hurt, what do you guys think about this one?
Trial Test Before Free Agency?

I'm unwilling to commit a roster spot to Ben Gordon, especially since he's not eligible for the playoffs, and he does not want to lose the option for free agency this summer while teams--including the Clippers--had been offering two-year deals. I guess giving him 10-day contracts would be fine since they're temporary and allow us to possibly sign someone useful for the postseason later on. I'm not really a fan of his to begin with.

10 days contract or two maybe sufficient. although quake's take of building up bullock's confidence may work out better for the long haul.

I agree about Bullock since I've been an advocate of having him play and develop at SG, however, I think Doc is averse to playing him there given his lack of ball-handling skills and his struggles in developing his handles since college. To be honest, I can't really argue against such logic since I'm a believer in having a backcourt with capable ball-handlers. Doc is also a proponent of having such playmakers at other positions to increase the versatility of his schemes and unpredictability against defensive matchups hence the appeal of Hedo Turkoglu.

ya i would take a pass on gordon now since he isnt post season eligible. wouldnt want him to come here and suck and hurt us, or come here and play great, only to lose him once the playoffs begin.

i see bullock as a catch and shoot a la del curry or chuck person. with CP3, Blake, JJ, Jamal, Hedo, and Collison, there is a room for a catch and shoot SG or SF.
but i agree that having both guards who can handle is pretty advantageous in game of basketball. Bullock is probably going to have a ceiling as a very important bench player, more like michael cooper of the 80s who can shoot and come off the bench to shut down the opposing wing.

Someone needs to change the title. It's misleading. Jamal should be back this week.

yah but that makes you click on this thread, doesn't it?
in all actuality, when Jamal first went down i think most of us got a text on our phones from bleacher report or BSPN sites that Jamal was out for 2-3 weeks as a typo.

Broderick Turner, Los Angeles Times (3/4/14)Rivers said Crawford, a leading candidate for the NBA's sixth man or the year award, might return Thursday when the Clippers play the Lakers.
"Jamal is doing great, actually," Rivers said. "I anticipate [him playing] maybe as early as the next game or maybe a couple of games after that."
Team still has no timetable for J.J. Redick's return
