The Clippers Won't Be In The NBA Next Year

Post#1 » by KyletheDingbat » Mon Apr 28, 2014 10:36 pm

I think this is it. Sterling won't sell the team and players won't play for it. I think Blake, CP, Doc and everyone else will force their way out and the league will support them. There will be no sponsors. Coaches quit, front office quits, employees strike. Anyone associated with the team will become a pariah. And Sterling will not sell. This will go down in history as the biggest barn burning story in the history of basketball.

the team will probably have a new owner and they will change the team name. So you're right that the clippers won't be in the NBA next year.

The Seattle Super clippers

The Lakers are good enough for LA

Seattle needs a team badly.
Here is the chance.

Balmer and their $ should buy the team
If not Magic and his group but change the name for sure.

A BIG Thank You to ALL the visitors on this BOARD, who are slamming the organization and the whole entity of Clipper Nation. We the fans, the ones who have been on this BOARD for sometime are in a state of shock, confusion, anger & rage towards our owner.
Don't think it would be cool if visitors just read the board, said something positive above the players & fans instead of speculating the demise of the Clippers on this Board. Please remember this is our team, this is a horrible incident where everyone in basketball is disgusted and repulsed by Sterling's statements, but we as Clipper fans are here to support the players, other Board Members and figure out the future for the organization and its great platers/ coaches & employees.
Thanks in advance for your understanding.

I, the OP, am a Clipper fan and I post here regularly. I'm not saying I agree that the Clips should fold, I just can see it happening. Rock and hard place. Also, you're from Riverside? What HS did you go to? I graduated in Moreno Valley and played in Riverside a bunch.

I went to Gloucester HS in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada; I teach at Beaumont HS. I just think we need to relax, let the players think as individuals and as a group and see what they agree to.
I hate f&*king racism, its mean & dirty.

Yeah I doubt that will happen. Sterling may pass the team to a family member. It may simply be sold to Magic, Geffen, or the Seattle Group. To many jobs would be lost in L.A.; Certainly not after Toyota announcing its leaving L.A. for Houston and taking 5,000 jobs with it. Nope! I just don't see the team leaving. At least NOT right away. Maybe in 2 years time or more. Maybe then the teams leaves for Seattle, St Louis, Louisville or Anaheim.

Motherfcuker, don't say it out loud! Now it's gonna come true.

I think most of us had that thought creep into our minds, I know I did.
But don't put it out there like that!

Honestly, this should be about PLAYERS VS OWNERS across the league.

Give it up to the Heat, if you haven't already.
Legit respect for the solidarity they showed with the Clippers....

Guys I think it's terrible that people are resorting to raggin on you guys over sterling's comments and I think it's very clear that none of you support sterling's comments. Hopefully for the sake of the fans and coaches/players in clipper land the nba finds a way to deal with this situation smoothly. The most ideal scenario would be if sterling willing sells the team since from the little bit of research I've done it doesn't seem like nba owners can be forced to sell a team. Anyhow best of luck getting through this, I can only imagine how tough it is for you guys to have to deal with this bs.

Completely idiotic. Lumping all owners together in this, is like saying every player is a scumbag like JR Smith.

The Owners will protect Sterling (in their way) as to avoid the "slippery slope".

Clippers = Players, Fans
Sterling = Owners

Boycott is coming and it should be boycotting the NBA, not simply the Clippers.

Mahesh8569, what you said is not appropriate what so ever. That will not be tolerated here. You have been warned.
I've been an LA Clipper fan since 1998 and that will never change. I hate our new logo and jerseys!
